Doubt it... CB would give up a 2011 1st rd pick..which is going to be top 10...maybe top 5...maybe 1st overall...who knows... Lagace would probably get a contenders 1st rd pick plus a decent young player...id rather get the top 10 pick. Yeah but they'd have him for half a season. Plus if the market is good they might get the equivalent to 2 1st rounders. I'm sure CB will find enough FA's and fillers to not finish bottom 5 in 2011 anyways. They are like the Halifax of the early 2000's. It depends on Lagace's play...and I dont think hed be in a good mindset coming back to play as a 20 on a mediocre team... What if his play further deteriorates? I just think CB should move on...keep their pick and go from there.

You could always trade it for a top end 18 year old for your Mem Cup run... Id rather have that than a late 1st and a decent young player...wouldnt you?

Bottom line is if he is sent down they'll take him and trade him at midseason unless they get an offer TGTBT at the draft. I'm sure Chicoutimi woulfd be jumping if Cb could get him back but declined...

Agreed and I think that's what happens .Apparently the kid has no interest in an Education so like Steve Miller says ........."take the money and run " !

Apparently the additional compensation for Chicoutimi would be a 2nd rd pick in 2012...not a 1st in 2011...if that is indeed the case than this switches things...although its likely moot anyway as Lagace signed.

If indeed we trade MacDougall to Lewiston for a 2nd we would get pick #36 in return which is the last pick in the 2nd round .... just in case anyone was wondering.

To recap, as of an article on June 1st, Durocher acknowledges that Veronneau is now his #1 goaltender and he is looking for a veteran to help him out. The same article goes on to further confirm that O. Roy will be traded to Bathurst.
I doubt that, if one of the two informations about Roy is true, the other one would be false.
That rumour about Roy to Bathurst from Lewiston for the Titan 1st pick and Malka has been going on for weeks now.

First he has to go to Lewiston as part of compensation and then he will be swapped to Bathurst for the 5th overall pick + whatever else is involved.
