whoops! Can't forget him. This will be a huge year for that group to get better, learn the junior game for the young players, and set the foundation for a top end team.

So where does that line up put the team in the standings? Consider the lack of depth on the blueline and in goal....last in the division i'd say...bottom 5 for the league. I don't know if they'll be that good.

You have a rookie goalie who has 240 minutes of expereince playing behind at minimum 3 Junior A dmen...
Id say youre the run away favourite for 6th...

Ouch!!! Long year for the Eagles. With the new playoff format, any chance of getting into post season?

I think he will be fine long term, but they seem awfully confident in him...I cant say i share the same level of confidence, in the short term anyway.

Can he get the team into the playoffs this year, and be the goalie that helps the team make a run in 2012?

Can he get the team into the playoffs this year, and be the goalie that helps the team make a run in 2012? Missing the playoffs in the Q is like missing the Atlantic Ocean with a rock. Only 3 teams outta 18 miss next year. And if you happen to be one of the teams that just squeaks into playoffs that have that lenient a format, you suck anyway and will be gone in 4 or 5 unceremonious games......... so if you're bottom 5 or 6, playoffs or not doesn't matter aside from the fact it gives your team revenue from a couple of extra home dates. As for can Verroneau be the goalie to make a run in 2012? It's entirely possible, but it's the least of our worries. Look at that roster at the beginning of this thread. Does it look like the foundation of a team ready to make a run in 2012?
