Veronneau (17) Lacerte(19)

Yikes!!! This is going to be a rough season with that line up. A guy like Meilleur would have been a big help for a D that inexperienced. I think they almost have to try to pick up a cheap 20yo for help. The only problem is what needs more help? The D or the offence?
This looks like a much smaller line up than we are use to seeing. Not much toughness. Hopefully, some of these new guys will play with an edge like a Cuzner.
They will probably add an 18 yo old D in the Euro draft. I would like to see them trade up for a higher pick. Maybe a team like Lewiston or Bathurst will deal their first rounder. Maybe they could deal Hertz to Bathurst, since Bathurst seems to have trouble landing decent Euros & take their pick to land 2 Euros in the first round. It is an age thing with Hertz. Do you think he will fit their "plans" for 2012? Or will Mario be forced to keep him since goals will be hard to come by this year.

Well Mario seems to think that Hertzberg will be around in 2012 but if he is he will be taking up two impact player spots just like Piskacek did this past season. I think it would be in his best interest to trade him at the deadline for whatever he can get for him because we could fill 2 spots insted of having him fill 2 in his 20 yr old season.

So which guys are the Building Blocks ? If you don't see a powerhouse developing there, you are CLEARLY blind! ;D

Gonna be fun to watch though i think! These kids will be every chance to excel thats for sure. Its key the goalie gets lots of ice. He is sure going to see lots of pucks! I'm hoping for one or two surprises at camp. Of course it could be ALOT better, but i plan on standing behind the team win or lose. And no, i am not believing the 2012 bullshit

You also forgot the Yearly Ontario Free Agent that surfaces in Camp every year .........and Lord knows we would welcome it this Year...........one up front and one at the back end .we have done it before , just not under Mullethead !

Nail on head - the tradition of an Ontario free agent surprise or two per year seemed to leave town with Pascal.

Provost, Parkes...and Montreal signed a kid named Junior Harris who played for Villanova Jr A...he is quite good.

So where does that line up put the team in the standings? Consider the lack of depth on the blueline and in goal....last in the division i'd say...bottom 5 for the league.

good point on the lack of depth on the blue line. If the team is getting ready for 2012, should the defense not be even younger? Only Woodworth and Leduc would be back, the rest will be 20 or too old.
