And Montreal has picked up where CB left off... Provost, Parkes...and Montreal signed a kid named Junior Harris who played for Villanova Jr A...he is quite good. yet not good enough to play for them apparently as he was traded to Rouyn today.... Players who are traded don't necessarily suck...just that Mtl promised him a certain amount of icetime and that was before they made the trades they did and before they got the commitment of Leblanc to show up.

We're using a 20-year-old spot on a guy who was a role player on a Halifax team that had 13 wins last year? And we paid a 5th round pick to do this?
I remember fans in Hali and Moncton saying Metcalfe is a character guy. And he's certainly tough (although the need for a fighter in today's Q is rather debatable). He seems like a reliable player who won't hurt you. All of this would be well and good if he was 19. But isn't a 20-year-old position supposed to be for impact players or close to it?

I said this after the black and white game and I will say this now, William Carrier has the potential to be a star not only in the QMJHL but a decent NHL draft pick. For a 15 year old kid with size, speed and skill, the sky is the limit.

LOVE seeing an 81 and 88.
Does anyone know why certain teams conform to certain numbers? Like, how come the Eagles usually stay within 1-31. I know there are exceptions (Bernard, Dion, Clendenning, etc).

Also love having an 81 and an 88! It's nice to see something different, like christopher said it gets boring seeing the same numbers year after year. The Eagles for the most part stick to the same, although they've always been pretty good to my knowledge to honour special requests. Such as #79 Karl Fournier, #54 Max Legault, #95 Ashton Bernard (in honour of his late brother Addison, that was his number), #41 Jordan Clendenning (damn what a five-year Eagle he'd have made), and probably a few others. Jog my memory folks. Halifax may be the worst I've seen for sticking to the same old numbers. Even the "weird" numbers in the higher-up digits, were the same for so many years. Edit: Would think it was pretty cool if Verroneau is actually wearing 62! Not sure any of us has seen a goalie wear that one before. Lots of goalies are breaking the trend though and making strange numbers look not so strange. Look at Jaroslav Halak and #41.

I think Nic Corbeil wore #84 and I'm not sure but did M-A Bernier wear #41 while he was here ?

Shawinigan is a football team lol and the 62 on Veronneau is legit..Terenzio is wearing 73 in Halifax.

I wore it 12 years ago in Bantam, just as a laugh, and wanted to see if any goalie would ever wear it in junior or the pros.... hahaha, thought I'd have to wait longer than this, that kid may become my favourite non-Eagle goalie in the Q for his number alone. Aside from Olivier Roy of course.
