I'd have to agree with statsman on this one. The Mooseheads have a good scouting staff, and I'm sure they've identified plenty of guys they like who will be there in the second round. Last year we went to the LSL Lions 3 times in the first 5 rounds for players. There are a couple of Lions ranked this year, if either fall to our pick, I wonder if the Mooseheads go back there again. Michael Campoli - www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=231388Ryan Brushett - www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=251475Campoli isn't likely to fall to round 2 unless he has a very short list of teams he's willing to report to.

Campoli appears to be committed to the USNTDP and/or the USHL next season. That would scare some teams away from him.

I think and it's just a gut feeling but our first pick we're going to take Crossley. I have no inside info on this being the case or not just he seems like a solid pick at this spot. If we can get another 2nd round pick this year (the Ciampini pick is for 15) I think we aim for the O'Leary kid. He's been talked about earlier and has signed a letter of comment to Cornell. Being another local kid and actually being a highly skilled I think he changes his mind very fast.

To add to my last post this is said to be a big year for Noba Scotians in this draft. I think your going to see a stronger local flavour to our drafting this year!
Here's another thing about Campoli. Since he's going to play with the US development program and he's Canadian too does he count as one of a teams US picks? Or since he lived in and played in Quebec does is he considered a Canadian only?

Moncton is going heavy on Americans again this year, apparently, I wonder how many times Campoli passes by Moncton.

I seen and heard the American talk from the Wildcats but I don't think there going to take risks early. I think they'll take for sires first few picks. Plus they got a big name American to sign yesterday to run there backend.

Two 2nds for a 1st anyone? Anybody on the Moosehead's radar to move up. Or would any team even consider that type of deal? Once again CALM DOWN! To answer your question though, Yes. A team could go for it but it isn't a smart move for the moose. Think about it I don't see you getting to move much higher then around the 15th pick. We have the 21st pick. So give up 2 picks to move up 6 spots to get 1 player instead of 2. You do the math what works better? Plus we got a guy like Fortier late in the 2nd round last year. So you want to give up a chance of 2 guys like that for 1 guy who could end up being another Ciampini? Am I bothering you or something? I am discussing the Mooseheads draft on a Mooseheads board and a thread on the draft. I just appreciate what u guys think and like to hear what u think. Sorry if I am irritating to you.

It's the same thing from you dude. It's not norther me at all. The thing is we don't need to get into the first round. Did you read the rest of the reply before you wanted to inform me of how this board works. If you read the rest you might understand why I replied the way I did.

Hope we draft Sam Harvey. I think it is imperative we get a goalie and he is the best Quebec goalie according to rankings and hopefully will be available for our pick in the second round. Fitzpatrick obviously will be gone in the top 5.
