Louis Leblanc was committed too...until his NHL team told him to pack his bags and play in the CHL. I think anything is possible. Worst decision ever. He likely won't ever be an NHL regular, should have stayed with Harvard and then turned pro after he earned the degree. Then his girlfriend publicly criticizes the Canadiens for sending him to the minors. Don't ya love social media?

We all know the girlfriends/wives can get really emotional about their husbands spot (human nature), but I wouldn't be surprised if some players are directing the ladies in their life to make some of these statements. Also, I'm not saying in hindsight he made a bad decision, though probably not documented, I thought the same at the time - bad decision. But maybe it is easy for me to say not having the same opportunity...

Go to Harvard for 3 more years or sign a contract that will pay you over 3 mill over 3 years maybe. 270k of that up front. So at 18/19 what choice do you make? I put my name to paper every day of the week.

He can probably just pay for his education by himself now if he really wanted to lol.
Actually, back on topic; 1 week from the draft today, what time does it begin? isn't it usually 10:00 AM EST?

That is also the thinking behind signing such a contract. I think your right which mean if no trades for is to jump into the first round then we won't pick till 1230 or 1ish.

Will the draft be streamed online this year? Or maybe even on TVA sports?

The only thing that is cool about the QMJHL draft time are the trades. Can't really get into the draft itself, never heard of any of these kids. Maybe I'm in the minority. Always cool to see what they can become once they put on the jersey though.

Palov tweeted earlier that it looks like SJ will take Luke Green first overall. He is obviously hearing things. Do u think Chad Krys will fall? Is there any risk of him not reporting? Haven't heard if he is playing the NCAA card. I am sure the Remparts would draft him if they have the chance. If for any reason he fell to the Moose, should we take another one of our gambles on him if he is going the NCAA route? He won't be picked for a long long time. He is committed to the USDP. I doubt Quebec will even take him they have a lot of holes to fill to take a chance on an unknown. Dude you need to clam down and stop scratching and clawing for something. It costs 50k$ to get a player out of his USNTDP commitment. Since Krys and Campoli are committed, they will likely fall in the Q draft. NTDP players sign year by year contracts so unless Hanifin has already signed for next season, Québec won't have to pay. Someone mentionned Krys would likely show up at 18 though.

It may be a interesting to see how early someone may grab one of those guys.

Two 2nds for a 1st anyone? Anybody on the Moosehead's radar to move up. Or would any team even consider that type of deal?

A team could go for it but it isn't a smart move for the moose. Think about it I don't see you getting to move much higher then around the 15th pick. We have the 21st pick. So give up 2 picks to move up 6 spots to get 1 player instead of 2. You do the math what works better? Plus we got a guy like Fortier late in the 2nd round last year. So you want to give up a chance of 2 guys like that for 1 guy who could end up being another Ciampini?
