So those guys must be guaranteed a spot foregoing the 48 hour thing... Doubt they are all guaranteed spots ... Nothing says the 48 hours has to be at start of camp - probably better for an NCAA guy to come for week 2 and see how he compares to a reduced roster of players who are mostly major junior calibre - first week is watered down with guys destined for midget and junior A. I completely agree with you about this but now it makes me wonder why Liam Murphy showed up this week. He must be planning on staying longer, atleast until next week, or otherwise it seems like the cats would have told him to only come next week as well. Obviously he is paying his own way if he stays past the 48 hours so that's promising that his interest is real.

Doucet has left cats camp on his own as per Neil Hodge. This is surprising to me after what has been written about him trying to make the team even in this mornings paper. Goodluck to him in Dieppe and I assume we'll see him as an injury fill in at some point this year.

Really like the play of Jacob so far, small lad but plays big. Always seems to be at the right spot, wins his battles, speedy, good hands and winning a good % of his faceoffs.

Sounds like he is on loan to the Wildcats for training camp similar to how Tucker White is on loan to Bathurst for their camp. If Moncton decides they want to keep Brideau before the trade period ends on the 18th then they'll need to work out compensation with Baie-Comeau in exchange for his rights. If not then BC retains his Q rights.

Brandon Borges from Rhode Island will be reporting to camp on Monday. He'll be limited to on ice action. He recently had surgery and hasn't been cleared for contact.
