Yes, both teams were missing their main offensive weapons, but I wonder had Fucale played (not saying Resop played poorly) if this game would have gone to a shootout after a 0-0 tie. Mr Over-rated has never been a difference maker in any game I have seen. Not even a nibble, losing your touch?

I gotta make a comment about Connor Garland, this kid is kind of an asshole. The whole warm-up whenever Riox was in net he would just skate by and pick rebounds off him and shovel them in, and then he shot a puck off the back of his leg. Then when Will Smith scored his goal he said something to him and then took over at the front of the line and gave a big obnoxious scream and a fist pump as if his second assist was gods gift to hockey. Kind of seems like he's a shitty teammate. I'd like to know some of the Moncton poster's opinions on Garland. He's obviously talented, but he really does seem like a massive jerk, and doesn't seem to be that well liked by his team mates. He's one of those players that you just can't stand on the other team. Celebrates over excessively, whines for calls... those sorts of things. I have a very distinct mental image of him grabbing his mouth in "pain" with one hand, while the other is in the air gesturing to the ref. I too have noticed that during the warm up, he's often off on his own stretching while the rest of the team runs drills. Is this normal for him, or is it my own viewer bias?

If hockey doesn't work out for him I imagine the U.S. Olympic diving team will come calling at some point- the midget has great form I must say!!!

Every team has a player like that. You're too much a homer to realize who the guilty party is on your own team.

I thought his celebration on Smith's goal was a bit excessive, or maybe he was just "getting jiggy with it".... not my place to say.
He certainly doesn't strike you as the guy who will sacrifice for his team. Always cherrypicking, diving, whining to the refs, and showboating after goals. I'd say that fits the definition for asshole- at least from an opposing fan's perspective.
This year refs will need to be very careful making those diving calls since it impacts the kids financially each time. Then again, I'm sure Garland can afford it. No doubt he's being paid more than the plant managers for Majesta.

I try to stay pretty objective, and admittedly am not familiar with any of the new guys on the team this year. Who on the Moose do you guys see as "that guy?"

Little upset about the lack of Wildcats playoff success since they crapped the bed in Brandon in 2010??

Darcy Ashley was not well liked by other teams, he was a pest and hacked and slashed after whistles and always mouthed off. Thing is he wasn't a douche to his own teammates though. Frk was another one who would mouth off a lot and not back it up earlier in his tenure. There are plenty of Mooseheads over the past few years who were assholes on the ice, but that's part of the game. I'm saying Garland displays characteristics of a douchey human being and not a douchey hockey player.
