Don't know what the plan is for Moncton, but yeah, I think the big year could be in 2 years when Booth is 19 and probably the best goalie in the league.
And yeah, seems likely that Sutton and Fiori are going to moncton right now as they are now playing anyway here. Fiori has been excellent this year and he clearly is underrated. Sutton had impressed me at the camp. Moncton is getting 2 great young players.
Part of the deal that seems unclear is when Donaghey is going to Moncton. Right now for Johnston or at the draft for Sweeney only.
What I heard seems credible to me as Turcotte confirmed that Tkachev deal is only a part of a bigger one.

If what you say is true then Quebec are sticking with Booth as the starter yet were wanting him to go now but he did not want to and stopped it?

I think the only goaltender Boucher would move for is Fucale. Booth has a NTC so I don't think he is going anywhere and will be Quebec goalie at the MC.

IC Well if that was an actual offer the Coach of Halifax said he the GM and owner are sitting down over the next few days to look at options for the teams direction. If Booth was staying it would be a strange situation to trade for Fucale. It certainly would leave no issues with injuries etc but the starter job would have to play out. Go with the hot hand or have Booth as backup. Not sure it would be a stable situation. Well rested goalie for sure. That would mean Halifax would have to accept Brassard now, some said he was going to Moncton next year, and something else since Booth is futures to Moncton. It would have to be overpay to Halifax if not getting Booth. Will know more the 19th I guess.

The only thing I could see is Booth dropping his NTC and then be traded to Halifax for Fucale right now. And I seriously don't think that's gonna happen.

If you assume that the Cats are selling and the deals are only what has been announced so far, what 19 or 20 year olds could be moving and what do you see as the return on a 1-10 scale..."10" being the Lindros trade(getting the farm), "5" being a 2nd rounder in 2015 and "1" being a 10-to 15th rounder in 2016.
Barbashev 7.5 Sweeney 8 Johnston 6 Johnson 6.5 Tassi 3.5 Dubeau 7

I think Booth stays in Quebec even if it's as the backup until the draft. A good backup goaltender at a tourney like the Mem Cup can go a long way if something happens to the #1.

That's all up to Booth though. Why would he leave Quebec right now? Halifax can find a filler for 30 games if it means an impact #1 again come September. You don't move Fucale to improve your chances in February or March so why not do a deal just because the best asset isn't available right away? If Booth is on board with going to Halifax I think Fucale now for Booth later makes perfect sense for both.

Same thing happened to Domingue back in 2010 in Moncton, he requested a trade after Riopel returned.

Well given that ... it makes more sense for him to go to Halifax immediately and be visible in a big market. I can't see Quebec spending assets to compete if they are hanging their hat on a young goaltender. He has an NTC ... so you say to him ... you can stay here and be the backup or go to Halifax and be Number 1. You leave it up to him ... he'll probably waive his NTC given the choice.

Strange... McQuaid isn't playing tonight and there was no mention of an injury.
