Corson is not ready for the Q, he's tiny even for MAAA. He doesn't have many options at this point. I'd rather him with the team than sitting out the rest of the season. Even if it's just for the practising and working out. I'm sure he has better options than just being Moncton and practicing.

I suppose it will depends on who gets traded or sent down to see where he fits.... I just don't know where he would fit.. not a checker so the 3rd line's out. too skilled for the 4th line....... it will be interesting that's for sure. I'm sure we'll see corson in the line up for a game or two, even if limited action, just to test him out. unless his rehab goes wrong. 3rd line isn't necessarily a checking line, at this point, unless they pick up some skilled top 6 guys, the 2nd line will be Smith-Johnson and somebody else, this should be the "checking line". That way you can have an offensive 3rd line. maybe Askew-Jacob and Cormier?

I'd send Duquette back and add both myelf. Corson is not ready for the Q, he's tiny even for MAAA. Did you see him in camp? He's not THAT small. You're making it seem like he should be playing Timbits hockey.

He consistently got run over in camp, regular season Q hockey is a notch above training camp/early preseason games. The antagonistic style he plays gets him a lot of attention also.

I'm sure he has better options than just being Moncton and practicing. Where he is a 16 YO, his options are a little more limited. He left his MAAA team because the cost was high for him to play less than half the year. He could probably play highschool but that won't do anything for his development. I would think he could find a spot on a Jr A team near to where he lives. Ultimately, I think the best thing for his conditioning is to be here working with Graham Black and being on the ice with the team. Game play would obviously be more desirable, but where his size/weight is something that needs addressing, working fulltime with a professional like Graham Black can add some mass to his slight frame. Too bad they couldn't get him a spot on Flyers. If he transfers to a school here, is that not an option ?

I think in Quebec, the Jr AAA league used to not allow 16 y/o's (to keep MAAA league strong) - not sure if that is still the case or not. As for joining the Flyers (swapping him into Jacob's spot might be win-win), not sure of the rules on when a player can join a team from another branch ... but it is probably not an option ... I don't think him moving here and registering for school is enough - I think his guardian would need to also reside here prior to a certain date ... Not really sure though.

but do the cats really want to take him away from the flyers when they have a good chance at going on a run and to the telus cup? Noah Corson will be joining the team after Christmas I think Jacob will stay with the Flyers. I not positive but I think Moncton has an agreement with Jacob and the Flyers to keep him there. Jacob wants nothing more than to play with the cats... He is hoping to stick with them after xmas.

there's no doubt he wants to. But even after reading the paper this morning it's going to come down to ice time. Hence the rumor I heard about him being with the flyers. (the rumor seems to be accurate because he mentioned going to MAAA because he was a third liner in Dieppe) I just don't see him in the top 6 with Moncton yet. So I guess we'll see if he thinks 3rd 4th line duty is good for his development. I must say he is shifty, crafty player and no afraid to go to the trenches to grab pucks. He'll be exciting to watch this year if he stays or next year when he's a lock.

The cats traded two top 6 forwards in Lalonde and Tkachev. There is room there assuming they don't add any other top 6 guys. Garland and Jacob looked very dangerous out there against cape Breton, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing those 2 together with Barbashev. Hard to separate Barbashev/Garland the way they play together. Barbashev-Leger-Garland Burke/Johnson-Askew-Jacob Burke/Johnson-Tibbo-Smith Something like that

While Bower isn't flashy, as a 17 YO I appreciate his defensive play, his grit, work ethic, and his work on the PK. Stephen Johnson wasn't very flashy as a 17 YO either. Some players take more patience than others.

To me Bower seems limited to 3rd or 4th line. There's nothing wrong with that, every team needs 3rd and 4th lines to be effective but I find as time goes on we seem to have more and more 3rd and 4th line players. Things will settle down I'm sure once the trade period passes and people can fall into more specific places.

Lalonde gets 1 game for the cross-check or is that just up there because it's automatic and could be added on to? No 1 game for Lalonde Nope ended up getting 4 games. 1 (automatic) + 3
