Were down all those guys and Argento is suspended from the pre-season, Hunter would have been too if he made the team; So I imagine there will be some callups. But Charlottetown is missing 8 good opportunity to get a win, and Saint John will likely be shorthanded a few bodies as well. I've heard that the Islanders have 6 players away. The Sea Dogs are missing 9 (top 2 lines and 3 D) for this weekend.

I thought the trading period was over. It is. King did not make the team and is a non-roster affiliate. We received a pick. No roster players changed hands. Not sure where to post this, but according to Moose Twitter.... Rights to Jordan King traded to SJ Seadogs for 7th round pick 2017. Good for him - he may have lucked out in this trade - Saint-John is going to be good this year! Eh, He'll likely play in Amherst once they get all their players back from NHL camps.

Even without Meier Halifax aren't as bad as Chicoutimi and Drummondville But they may benefit from playing in a weaker division- Halifax should have it much harder with SJ, CHA, CB and a veteran Moncton team. Underrated comment

I imagine Denis Toner will be called up for the pair of Weekend games. He's a New Brunswick native and a late cut from camp, he doesn't have to travel far and obviously the team had some interest in him.
As for where the Mooseheads finish, I do think even with the current roster around 12th is probably realistic. As mentioned above, the strength of the Divisions could be a big factor.
Shawinigan will likely finish first overall, they'll bulldoze Rimouski, Quebec, Victoriaville, Baie-Comeau and Chicoutimi all year long.
Drummondville is likely to finish dead last, having to frequently play Sherebrooke, Val-d'Or and Rouyn-Noranda who are all likely to compete for top-8 positions. Gatineau and Blainville-Boisbriand shouldn't be taken lightly either.

Timo looks real comfortable tonight in the Sharks first exhibition game.......it seems we might have room for Ehlers to come back after all San Jose may begin #TimoTime this year

I heard from a neighbor that they ran into Bobby Smith and he said that he has a feeling that Timo will be staying in San Jose.

If they keep him, they could play him in 9 games (until his entry level contract kicks in at 10 games for this season), make an assessment and go from there.
If he doesn't return, it's a blow in terms of moveable assets to help the rebuild.

I believe Timo will be back San Jose has too much forward depth and I think he could use another year to get bigger and stronger; I mean Winnipeg sent Nik back and he was almost too good for the league.

Bobby's (*From what I heard*) logic was that SJ forwards are getting old and they want to get younger. Just playing messenger here.
