Unsurprisingly O'Leary and the other major NCAA guys were mentioned as not coming. Shannon thinks they may still have a shot at O'Leary.
Not mentioned in the article was Petruzzelli though. I'm not sure if that was just an oversight or that he is coming.

early promotion for the twins Klima. On the Alumni roster for the Cats. Beaton and Zilbert also. No Tibbo, Leger, Corson and Liam Murphy.

Updated training camp roster will be available in tomorrow's Times and Transcript. An intriguing name on the list is Samuel Meisenheimer. He's a 4th round pick in the USHL draft by Des Moines. If he sticks around, he could definitely be a dark house to make the team.

Kyle Tibbo and Liam Hynes put up a lot bigger numbers then him in the same league at the same age.

Is Liam Conrad someone who's probably going NCAA? Back to back solid seasons with the Flyers and looks like he's going to the BCHL this season.
Was Mika Cyr picked in the MHL draft this spring? With 31 goals in 34 games last season I don't see much benefit of him playing midget again, but I'm not sure there will be room for him with the Cats.

They recently added Jamie Ramin a 17 year old forward from Michigan. They'll have almost as many players drafted no shows as showing up...

I don't think he was, but Alex Lavoie I think was drafted by Dieppe. I agree, it seems like somewhat of a waste to send him back to midget and I don't think he makes the cats this year so that's likely his only option.

The track record of kids playing Jr.A at 16 is pretty good, especially guys that tore up MAAA the year before. As was stated above, Cyr has nothing left to prove in MAAA, sending him back for another year would just flatline his development. With the situation the Cats are in, they'd be better off to move a guy like Tibbo or Bower and keep Cyr, they are not exactly flooded with young talent up front in terms of 16 and 17 year olds...Crossman-Cyr-Murphy, after that it's pretty murky.

Pretty tough for a 16 year old to play Junior at 5'7 150lbs. He had some pretty good linemates last year with Payton Hoyt and Logan Johnston. He will need to get bigger before he can play at the Junior level. Just traded away Local Alex Jacob who is same type of player and close to the same size because there wouldn't be room in the top 6 for him.

Garland was basically that size at 16 and 17 when he played. Ideally he would be better at 165-170 but he may have gained a few lbs since the end of the season...
