nothing there really. John Moore lobs up his question and Bowers hits it with a cliche. I thought that till his last answer of "I'm gonna play my game and bring what I can to their team", unless by that he meant all them tradeable assets lolol. The question was probably something like "what are your expectations for training camp" or goals for next season or something like that. What was he going to say? "Well I'm going to go to work in the gym all summer and hope for a trade and then work my ass off at the Saint John, Halifax, or Waterloo training camp." lol As much as we'd all love to know what's going on in his head, we would crucify the kid if he was honest.

Yeah that's true, guess we wont find out the true intentions for a few days or whatever.

Yeah that's true, guess we wont find out the true intentions for a few days or whatever. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Another summer of waiting for a trade doesn't sound very fun at all

Le not to throw a damper on draft day. I am optimistic Bowers will report and be an instrumental part of our team. Lets welcome this fellow Nova Scotian with open arms and show him all the support we can. Good Luck Shane and welcome to the Eagles.

Guillaum Gauthier traded again lol Sherbrooke get all of the talented CB guys that just didn't work out - Darcy, Pelletier, Gauthier. Victoriaville, Chase Marchand, Charles Eric Legre, Bradley Lalonde. One of these teams has the players I would have liked to keep the other.... Lol

Dumont back to his old tricks picking D pairs out of midget. Do we know for sure they played as a pairing or just assuming since they're on the same team? I was reading the CB post article and realized I forgot to respond to this. Here's the bit in CB post: "Cape Breton had two third round picks and selected a pair of defensemen from the Magog Cantonniers of the Québec midget league – Sacha Roy (40th overall) and Alexis Sansfacon (50th overall). The two players were paired with each other for much of last season with Magog, where they very well may play again next season given the depth of the Screaming Eagles defensive corps." www.capebretonpost.com/Sports/Hockey/2015-06-06/article-4173450/Screaming-Eagles-draft-midget-standout-Shane-Bowers-in-QMJHL-draft/1

I think you'd guys won the weekend. Got a top 6 player with a shit load of playoff experience in Ranger. Then one of the top players in draft fell into your lap in Bowers. Who others have reported he isn't going to CB, but it hasn't come out of his mouth yet. I think he will be on you guy's team next year and will be a big part of your team the next 4 years. Then you trade a top 4 Dmen which hurts some but you did get a good sized forward who has good family lines in this league. The question on him is he a 3rd liner or 2nd liner?
You guys pretty much became top contender in this division. SJ and PEI will put some heat on you guys for top spot but as long as players stay healthy and no one goes pro you should be hard to beat.

Most obvious need in that lineup IMO is a faceoff winner. Bishop Martineau and Tower can't win faceoffs worth a damn.
Possession of the puck is kinda important
