From the CB post this morning, Jessiman will be making his debut friday Regardless of how good he plays people will say "well he had all the NHL guys back in front of him anyway and played Bathurst." If he blows a stinker then that will be another discussion ....

If he blows a stinker then that will be another discussion .... One game (or two or three for that matter) does not make a career or even a season. I know it is hard but patience is necessary when evaluating players. Looking forward to seeing all of our top guys back. It almost feels like for me this game is the true home opener.

So, yeah, I'm not going to go back and read 63 pages. Fill me in. Is this the year the Eagles are "going for it?" or is that still a year away?
Once upon a time (5 years ago - ish), I had season tickets for 3 years. I gave them up, not because of the poor direction of the team, but, due to work, life, etc. I've followed the team less and less each year. Not because of lack of interest. Shit just happens. Things were pretty bleak when I didn't renew my tickets. I had season tickets the year that Luke Adam was here. I remember there being lots of sell outs, or near sell outs that season. I remember the following 2 years I either had season tickets or went to a fair amount of games, but, attendance was dwindling. There was a fair amount of speculation that the team couldn't sustain if the attendance kept dropping. Is that still the case? Are the games well attended?

That's sad, but "bring your imaginary friend night" is funny.
I never understood why the organization didn't bring back the cheaper upper bowl tickets. I actually wrote a very long, well thought out and worded letter to them a few years ago. I guess it didn't find the appropriate people or they just didn't care.
I don't they should be as cheap as they were. I believe they were $5. $10 would be a solid price. Maybe $10 on weekends or more popular nights and if it was a Wednesday night game, or a game that would typically have a lower attendance, make them $8 or something.
I just think people who would otherwise not go to a game would go if the tickets were more reasonable.

Without trying to sound negative, but this organization has been getting progressively worse. From the poor on ice product to the poor intermission entertainment to the horrid concessions,it just gets worse. When you go to a game now, you cannot even hear the music because the volume is so low.Om two separate occasions last year on Sunday afternoons (4.00pm)starts,I went to the concessions to get some pizza,on one occasion I was told that they ran out and on the other occasion they told me they had no pizza because someone forgot to order it? I have visited all the Q rinks in the Maritimes and some in Quebec and as far as getting bang for your entertainment buck, this organization finishes last. Not being negative, just factual.

I agree with all of that. Sad fact is C200 is owned and operated by CBRM. Any improvements have to go under so much more scrutiny because of that. I often wondered why the team doesn't buy the rink/CBRM doesn't sell the rink, and sell the naming rights. It would be a great source of income and they would be free to improve things like concessions and the sound system. It also seems like a 60 year old has control of the music and the video. No replays this year, god awful music, and I'm gonna cry if they play the good ol hockey game power point one more time. Extremely unprofessional the way that the in game experience is run and that really sucks because its that sort of thing that will keep a casual fan coming back.

Okay, that's unfortunate and all about concessions and music and video, but, how about HOCKEY? haha I mean, yeah, you want to have a good experience while going to a game but I think I'd trade a slice of shitty rink pizza to see Svechnikov score a few goals.
