Well we need to get rid of Dorion, he's driving this team into the ground and pissing off all Sens fans. He trades Karlsson for nothing; and then today we find out Pageau is out 4-6 months. If they trade Duchene or Stone I'm finished with them.

Better be ready to finish with them, I doubt Stone or Duchesne want to sign there long term, so they are better off trading them than losing them as UFA's.

I could see them going this season without a captain, and next year Duchene and Stone are probably as good as gone with free agency, so who do you folks think will be their next captain? My guess would be either Pageau or Borowiecki

Can't see Stone or Duchene sticking, why would they? Team is having a fire sale and they're in their prime years. Duchene also came out and said he was intrigued by Tavares decision to go to FA and he liked the idea of multiple teams making offers to him.
Both would bring back some good pieces as well, can't mess these ones up either especially considering the price paid towards Duchene last year....But it's also to nice get something for the both of them rather then them walking away for nothing.

Yeah I would be shocked if either is extended, makes no sense for the team or players. Sell both for a big return.

0-4 in the Pre-season who's idiotic idea was it to trade Karlsson. I know it's just exhibition but it's going to be another long season.

I’m a little shocked Ottawa didn’t let Colorado have the 4th overall pick in a weak draft then potentially a top 3 in a good draft

Tkachuk is a good young player, but passing up on a potential generational talent could be the death of the franchise. That Duchene trade looked like shit from the get go, especially when you hear everything that was going on with Hoffman-Karlsson behind the scenes.

I’m a little shocked Ottawa didn’t let Colorado have the 4th overall pick in a weak draft then potentially a top 3 in a good draft The only explanation that makes sense to me is Dorion figured i'm picking now because if we finish last next season then someone else is making that pick any way. Everyone knew Karlsson wasn't coming back and their top 2 forwards are UFA's after this season so the choice they made really made no sense.

Zack Smith on waivers. Over 500 games in 11 seasons and still a reliable player at 3 million a season which isn’t bad. This is getting out of hand

To put things in perspective....here is the Sens protected list from last year's expansion draft (15 months ago). 4 of the 7 forwards have been traded or waived as well as 2 of 3 Dmen.
Forwards Mike Hoffman - Traded Kyle Turris - Traded Zack Smith - Waivers Derick Brassard - Traded Ryan Dzingel, Mark Stone, Jean-Gabriel Pageau,
Defensemen: Dion Phaneuf - Traded Erik Karlsson - Traded Cody Ceci
