Senators were robbed last night, I'm so tired of it it's time that hockey holds the officials accountable, St Louis's 3rd goal should never have counted Anderson had it, this is what irks me the inconsistency here's the video draw your own conclusion but Anderson/Boucher had reason to be upset. one more game before our bye week Phoenix at home Tues night and from what I've heard the Sens played well in the tale end of a back to back I was unable to watch the game just seen this video online. www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/anderson-livid-puck-gets-wedged-glove-leads-goal/He put his glove down on the puck and Maroon's stick. That isn't covering the puck. Maroon has the right to push the puck out of the glove in that situation. That's a good goal imo, and the opinion of the NHL.

In an ideal world, I believe the play should have been blown dead, but I also don't believe the referee did anything wrong. He can't call what he can't see.
At the beginning of the video, the play comes towards the Ref below the goal line, so he has to back off towards the corner. Then the play turns around, and the covering/dislodging happens before the Ref can get back to the net and in position to see the puck being covered. And there's no review for something like that. It's just unfortunate.

It's just unfortunate. On the other hand there’s been plenty of times that the puck is wide open loose not even debatable about it not being covered and the referee will be backed into the opposite corner of the play and blow it dead because he can’t see the puck. Which is normally what happens in junior or NHL.

I'd give up a second rounder and a prospect to make that happen.

Duchene not dressing tonight..... trade is imminent.... question is how soon does it happen and who else gets moved
No sense rehashing what the cost to acquire him in the first place was as they can't recoup that we all know that.... at the time they made the move they were not the joke of a franchise they've become since
they likely get a 1st plus a top prospect on the verge of being NHL ready or young roster player now.... perhaps take a contract back they can flip elsewhere or simply use to fill out the roster for the rest of this year... thoughts?

They have a deep group of prospects so quality should be their concern over quantity I think. They also should be able to eat some money if they need to do so in order to get a better return. I'm more curious about Stone as of now. He's more of a difference maker and could be the final piece for a Cup for a Winnipeg or Nashville.

I think Dzingel is gone too, they will try and keep Stone but time is running out on an extension. If you have a big name to move, can’t wait until deadline or the big buyers have already made their moves and committed their moveable assets. It will be hard for all the bigger names to go, there are more than usual(Stone Duchene Panarin Bob Nyquist Brassard Zuccarrello Dzingel etc) and not a ton of teams that are going all in, willing to trade 1st rounders and top prospects…I see Nashville Winnipeg Boston and TB mostly…

Duchene and D-men Julien Bergman gone for Abramov and Joanthan Daviddson, a 2019 1st round pick, a 2020 condtional first round Pick if he re-signs.
I've completely lost faith in Melynk 2 seasons in the basement, and with a feeling that by Monday Dzingel and Stone will be gone too, I am done with the Sens Go Jets Go!

At this point, trading Dzingel and Stone is the only logical thing to do, but they dropped the ball in not moving those guys sooner. Keeping them at this point would be dumb.

Could they really have moved them sooner? Dzingel is a guy whose value is probably higher now as a deadline rental than it would have been in the off-season ... his strong play this year has really solidified his value. As for Stone, while they no doubt could have got more for him in the off-season, at that point they were still optimistic that he would re-sign and he would be the face of the franchise going forward. Duchene, the mistake was trading for him in the first place ... when it is said and done they will likely have traded Hughes/Kakko plus Bowers a 3rd and Kyle Turris for a late 1st and two marginal prospects ... ouch ...

With stone and Duchene mostly, you start the process in May and June last year, similar to Pacioretty. 1st step is to figure out if you are signing the guy or not. 2nd if you're not keeping them long term, find a team that will and make the move. I don't disagree with your point on Dzingel, but Duchene for sure was horrible asset management, Stone, we'll see, but they are unlikely to come close to what they could get in the summer.
