It does in that they were both suspended for incidents. Completely different incidents for sure. But if a parent is going to let Nate Schmidt set some awful precedent for their kids...there are players like Osuna who have set way worse precedents to educate your kids on if they're not into sports that Nate Schmidt has them thinking that cheating pays. It really has nothing to do with a parent, a kid can see that and realise that cheating pays and take measures to get bigger/stronger, the parent might never know or realise it.

and just this morning the Hawks fire longtime coach Joel Quenneville The Hawks have been spinning their wheels for a few years, maybe a new coach can change things, but they may need to "blow it up" to a certain extent.

the first 2 trades of the season are both 1 for 1 deals...
Pittsburgh/LA - Tanner Pearson for Carl Hagelin
Edmonton/New York Rangers - Ryan Strome for Ryan Spooner
all 4 guys are underperforming so I wonder if a change of scenery will spark any of them.
Wonder if we will also have more 1 for 1s as the season goes on??
On a side note Peter Chiarelli has essentially traded Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle for Ryan Spooner and Adam Larsson.... :/

I think it would be hard to argue that any GM in the NHL has done worst at roster management than Chiarelli.

Bergevin is probably in the bottom 5 .....Domi deal doesn't make him even an average GM . Bottom 5 is a huge exaggeration, he's around mid pack. He has not made any horrible trades like Chiarelli, he's easily won more trades than he's lost. Plus he's turned a pretty old roster into one of the youngest while having a strong group of prospects outside the NHL. If you can fault him on one major thing it's not going "all in" 2-3-4 years ago when he had a top 10 team but missing help at C.

Tyler Seguin for Loui Eriksson as well....oh Ciarelli.
It's always interesting when he makes trades cause I love seeing how bad they are.

No ? ...........told everybody that Drouin would be a true #1 Center .......Weber can't stay healthy ....Karl Alzner ,,,,5 years - 25 million . Mid Pack ?
