Not sure if you are being sarcastic or just an idiot. If you look at what Bergevin has done to the roster and cupboards the last 2-3 years and you think he created a disaster, then I have no response for you, you can't be helped! In one off season he went from having Drouin/Galchenyuk(out of position) Danault and Plekanec at C to Domi(24 points in 20 games) Kotkaniemi(18 and at 10 points in 20 games) and Danault at C. If you think he is on par with Chiarelli who's screwed up every major move he's made despite inheriting a great core, then your head is pretty far up your ass.

The Facts are Obvious unless you choose to ignore them !...........unless it's a Media Conspiracy ? I don't know 2 Habs Fans that think Bergevin is doing a Good Job..........hmmm.....nope ...thought about it and you are on your own .

The article that Hal posted is dated FEB 16th, 2018 - the state of the Habs 9 months ago definitely warrants calling Bergevin a disaster artist.

Also Yeo out in STL and Berube promoted
I think that's quite the culture shift in Edmonton. Didnt think Hitch could coach this young generation of players. This may be the wrong move if that's possible they get worse.

MacLellan out Ken Hitchcock in for the Oilers Should have been Chiarelli to go first. Yep this is a complete waste of time. And Hitchcock is the wrong type of coach for that team but that will be proven over time. But yet again it's bunch of 80's Oilers having input into the decisions being made there. They're still relying on the opinion of people like Kevin Lowe to help them run that franchise.

But I'm not even sure Hitchcock and the old guard in the back rooms there even know about all the rule changes to speed up the game that came in post lockout. They could totally take advantage of. MacLellan played McDavid 25 minutes a night. Well surely under Hitch that will come down as he tries to make 4 balanced checking lines to slow down opponents. Which will work because the other teams will no longer need to worry about Edmonton's speed anymore.

They're in such a tough spot there with the lack of depth and the need to overplay McDavid to compensate for it. It will be interesting to see how they handle it and what this season turns into for them. Bringing in the Ryan Spooner's of the NHL to fix some of the issues doesn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence.

Spooner can play on the PP Strome clearly couldn't fit in Edmonton for whatever reason.. i don't see that trade as a bad thing particularly as for hitchcock.... as much as i'm not a fan he has a proven track record of instant turnarounds which Edmonton desperately needs and he has coached as recently as a year ago.. it's not like he's been gone from the NHL for really any period of time haha cutting McDavids icetime is not a bad thing either as long as he doesn't stifle his creativity

Can,t stay retired ......how many times now ? Third ? ......what a mess out there . If the inmates were running the asylum ....I could see it but that didn’t appear to be the case . Who’s Chiarelli ‘s Boss out there ? Some combination of Daryl Katz, Bob Nicholson, Wayne Gretzky, and Kevin Lowe as that is the group that met last wee to discuss the situation there. They wouldn't let Chia hire a coach beyond this year so they've also forced him to improve the team through trades he might not normally make because if Hitch doesn't turn it around they're both unemployed come April. It's either going to be turned around or completely blown up there.
