He's better off playing more than 10-12 minutes on the 4th line. I am OK with it also - especially where he missed part of camp with an injury. It won't hurt him to go down to the AHL and make him force the team's hand to call him up later in the season. I would be surprised if he is not a regular by mid-season.

Pretty good game by the Habs last night. They looked out of sync in their own end at times, which is to be expected. They seemed to have the game under control until that dumb too many men penalty. They scored a PP goal which was nice. For the rookies, Fleury had a strong game, even had a breakaway, it looked more difficult for Suzuki.
The Kotkaniemi line looked very good, which is ironic since he struggled all preseason. Drouin had a good game on that line.

Kotkaniemi looked good and after not scoring on the road last year it's definitely a confidence boost to net one on the road in the opener. What was with him leaving Drouin hanging on the bench to dry when Drouin tried to high 5 him ? Haha I assume there isn't any hard feelings between the two and it was just a bloop .

Man that Minnesota team is just bad The West as a whole is a bad conference. They have 4 teams that should be playoff teams, East has 8-10.

With six markers in four games, Caufield leads the NCAA in goals.
Can he transition to the NHL level when that time comes.

Habs 5-2 over The Leafs ......Discuss Amongst Yourselves . Toronto seems even worse defensively than last year. Good win for the Habs after a couple shaky games. Sweet to see Drouin back after a tough 2nd half and Armia looks like he's taken his game to a new level, hopefully it continues.

Big win on Tuesday, not exactly text book goaltending on either side, but a win is a win. Schedule gets lighter, now would be a good time to make hay in November. Only 2 playoff teams out of 11 games:
CBJ x 2 NJ x 2 Phi x 2 Ott LA NYR Bos Wash
Ideally if they can go 8-2-1(16-7-3) or 8-3(16-8-2) it would put them in a very good spot heading into December.

Not a great performance but great clutch play late to get the 2 points. 5-0-1 in the last 6. Only 4 points from 1st overall and ahead of Toronto.

So far the Domi trade looks like a big win for Bergevin…
Domi 100 GP 32-52-84 Galchenyuk 81 GP 19-25-44
Domi has been more productive, more durable and a true center. If AG doesn’t click with Crosby or Malkin(9GP 0-3-3) will he be in the KHL next year?

what a play by Suzuki last night on the tying goal team is looking solid so far..... playoffs could be real possibility afterall If they were in any other division they would have very good odds, the Atlantic so far looks like the best division in hockey. Good to see guys like Mete and Suzuki take strides as young guys. Plus Drouin has looked a lot better than down the stretch, Chiarot has been a really nice add to the LHD position.
