Hughes and Petterson are, Horvat and Miller have been in his prime a few years. Boeser also. Markstrom is gone. Edler is on his last legs. They have a core of good young players, but it's quite small, outside of that is mostly older guys and overpaid grinders. Unless Holtby bounces back or Demko has a break out, they could take a step back without Markstrom. I should let this go I know I should But I can’t stand idiotic comments being passed off as fact Brock boeser is 23 and has played what 3-4 years.... how the flying fuck do you get off saying he’s in his prime for several years? Horvat is 25 Miller 27 They are just entering their prime years in all likelihood Then you bring up 30 plus year old comparisons in price Petry and Weber to try and discredit The only factual fucking comment in your post is that they have a lot of terrible contracts from poor free agent signings Stay in your damn lane Players enter their prime at different times. In general forwards have theirs at a younger age, again for a guy that likes to make a big deal about exceptions, I'll post a disclaimer that there are always exceptions. You have to look at trends and what potential the player has and if he is progressing towards that. Comparing forwards to d-men who enter their prime at a much later age is idiotic, but par for the course based on your history. You love pulling crap out from left field and trying to pass it off as the norm. Not sure where you saw me post that Petry and Weber were entering their prime. Weber is likely no longer in his prime, but still a very good player who has shown no sign of steep decline. Petry was a late bloomer, likely due to playing in a clusterfuck in Edm. I would say he is still in his prime but could start declining. His great skating ability and apparent strong health should help him avoid falling off a cliff. Horvat is 25 and has been at pretty much the current level since he was 22. I don't expect him to decline, but not a huge spike either, he is what he is. Miller is 27 and has also been pretty consistent the last 4-5 years, he seemed to have a career year in 19-20. I think it's unlikely he can play at that level every year, but we will see, I see him going back to the 50-55 point range going forward. My lane is wherever I want it to be, so you can stick your pompous little attitude where the sun doesn't shine. Boeser is 23 and had had 3 seasons of pretty much the same production

He had one year left and if they don't plan on protecting him , leaving him open to Seattle in the Expansion Draft ...then why extend him ? .........Unless the Unthinkable ....Leave Carey Price exposed ? His Wife is from down that way ......They Wouldn't ? ........Would They ?

With 2 more years, he could be picked up by Seattle or they keep him around until Primeau is ready.

The AAV is a bit higher than what I would like but retaining Gallagher was a key move, next one is Danault.

If Seattle doesn't take him in June, he could back up for another year or they could trade him to a team looking for a veteran to split time with a young goalie. Sub 3M cap hit should make him attractive.
