Dubois has to end up in Ottawa, right? They seem to have all the other former Eagles playing pro in their system. IS MAD Coaching in their System ? Not according to elite Prospects, according to them he was an Assistant with the U-16 team, Although by the emoji I take it you were being Sarcastic.

Great Game by the Sens last night, Leafs had them hemmed in their zone for a bit in the 2nd but they managed to survive. I think Ottawa is going to be a fun team to watch this season; as alluded to last night they are going to be a hard-working physical and fast team. I saw the end of the first and the 2nd . Not to knock on Anderson, but nice that Murray can stop the puck I commented on one of the Leafs's shots to my boyfriend last night that Murray stopped Anderson would have let that in. Hoping for another good game tonight, And now Sens let's go prove everyone wrong that had us finishing 7th. I know it's one game but what did everyone else think of Ottawa's game last night? Like I mentioned the key for them will be staying out of the box. (I was really impressed with Batherson, Paul and Norris last night and well Chabot was just doing the Chabot thing; I remember not being a fan of Batherson when he played for the Eagles just being a Mooseheads fan he is a really good player; I think Ottawa may surprise people in a few years with all that youth and if Murray can have a good year) Glad to see the Senators get off to a Good Start ....with all those Ex Eagles tied to Ottawa , you have to cheer for them.....Batherson looked good .........now on a Selfish Note.....as a Habs Fan........every time I see that Brady Tkachuck play , I find my self thinking about Kotkaniemi and wondering........What if ? ...Feel free to chime in Habs Fans .

Based on their team right now, swapping Tkachuk with JKK would make no sense and leave a big hole at C. Would they be a better team with Domi-Tkachuk than JKK-Anderson? who knows? The real test for JKK in my opinion will be at 22-23, what caliber of C is he. Tkachuk was always the more polished product and almost a year older(Sept 16, 1999 vs July 6, 2000), plus developing into an NHL C requires more time than a LW.

If Kotkaniemi fills in his frame and can become a power forward in the middle of the ice with some decent offensive upside..... he will have been the better pick. Everybody knows Tkachuk will wind up out of Ottawa eventually anyhow.... maybe the Habs will get both down the road haha

Pretty good weekend for Ottawa 2 out of 4 points, Winnipeg and Edmonton this week and I wouldn't take Edmonton lightly as they got beat pretty bad by Montreal Sat night!

I love how Ottawa fans panic in year 3 of a rebuild when they've lost their last 2-3 games. I mean come on guys there young, and yes have some vets but as was alluded to on TSN last night everyone else has depth in the division. Ottawa just needs to attack centre ice control the natural zone, forecheck that's when there at their best, and maybe staying out of the penalty box would help. But one penalty last night really irked me, for years I've said this in a shoving match you don't just take one guy or it never stops; you put one guy from both teams in the box. (I can see why DJ was perturbed that Watson ended up with the penalty right after they'd killed one off and the Jets got nothing).

Looking to Snap an 8 game skid in Edmonton tonight, I guess as long as the young guys develop and they compete every night. I know they had a few very poor games last week.

what is tough for Ottawa is, a lot of their future needs to play AHL games like Brannstrom Brown Formention Thompson Gustavsson are just sitting for now.
The big positive so far is the play of Norris.

The big positive so far is the play of Norris. Paul has been a really good player for them as well. Unfortunately the skill is just too young to match up in this division. Thought they'd put up a fight and scare some teams but I think the standings we're seeing is just a good representation of where these teams are. Toronto and Montreal are a step above. Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Vancouver seem a tier behind but still playoff contenders who will all be pretty close to that top tier points wise. And then there's the Senators hoping to steal 2 games from each through the season.

I expect Ottawa will win some games vs all 6 division opponents ... I'm not a Sens follower, but I do like how they are rebuilding. Considering the b2b games and condensed schedule and specific matchups how many times do you think they will beat each specific opponent? Example: Tor - 3, Van - 1, Edm -1, Mtl - 3, Cgy - 4, Wpg - 2 = 14 Mine is only an example dont hold me to it. good luck Sens fans..

After a win losing 2 more games, on the bonus side their improving at least the last 2 losses have been close(-1-2 goal games the difference) and Murray seems to have been playing a lot better since last week. I'm not going to hold my breath over making the playoffs but as long as the young guys are developing. Just give us a few more seasons and I think Ottawa will be a team that can't be messed with, rematch with Edmonton tonight.

Ryan Dzingel back to Ottawa for Alex Galchenyuk and Cedric Paquette . Carolina better put an Ankle Bracelet on Galchenyuk during his Self Isolation , you gotta wonder even in his early 20's , how many more chances does this guy get ?
