whose the kid that hit the absolute bomb last night grand slam? where did he come from? They got him off waivers from Cleveland 10 months ago, former Giants 1st round pick.

Red Sox are looking pretty good for a team that sucked last year. Heck of a job by Bloom adding pitching...Pivetta Richards Whitlock Ottavino and Sawamura, plus the big bat of Renfroe and versatility of Hernandez. Sale appears to be 4-5 weeks away. Duran could arrive soon.
The crack down on industrial strength adhesive doesn't seem to have hurt the RS as much as NYY and TB who both had pitching issues recently. Richards was affected but seems to be adjusting, Perez and ERod as well.

RS call us Jarren Duran, another potent bat in the lineup.

Schwarber should be a nice add to the RS and it cost a lot less than NY paid for Rizzo and Gallo.

okay eternal optimist i'm actually asking for a post now give me a reason to feel good about this teams chances still what a garbage slide this is The main issues since the ASG are hitting with runners on and the starters not performing. Hitting with runners on can be fixed. Getting Arroyo and Schwarber should help deepen the lineup. Arroyo was hitting great before that damn stretch at 1B. In terms of starters, Sale is back on the weekend and Houck has replaced Perez. Those are pretty big upgrades. Pivetta had a great start Saturday but got no runs. Eovaldi has been their best guy all year. Erod looks better lately after a rough June. It's all fixable but the AL East is tough and deep. Right now they might have 4 of the 5 best AL teams with Houston. CWS gets to beat up on a shitty division and Oakland has faded after a hot start.

Only one game but it's a start. They called it a minor setback due to groin soreness, if they can get him in the lineup by around Aug 15-18 it will be huge, they didn't pay much for him.

Things are looking great ! 🙄 I do predict a 4th place finish in the AL East. It’s a good thing the Orioles were already 30gms behind !!

You just flushed any credibility you had in the toilet with that one sentence.

Barnes has had a tough week lol Cora used him in 3 games in 2 days, kind of a head scratcher that he brought him into a tie game last night. Where they got in trouble last night, they had a 2 run lead with the bottom of the lineup up, they had Whitlock throw 10 of 11 pitch fastballs for 2 long AB's at one point and he ended up getting hit for 2 doubles. His changeup is as good as his FB.
