Yup, great bounce back. Very talented team that doesn't always "play the right way" but they got it done despite a few too many walks with big leads, baserunning miscues and swinging for the fences as bad times. they definitely don't play the right way i followed off and on all year long but down the stretch watched a great deal of their games...... far from textbook ball Devers is fantastic and clutch some of the stopgap guys were great given expectations (Renroe, Hernandez).... Bogaerts is solid as always Martinez needs to be moved on from especially given he hurt his ankle at the worst possible time simply by attempting to jog out to the field the pitching is very erratic and i honestly have very little faith in any of them to lock things down but they are fun to watch cuz you do not know what to expect that's for sure haha Bogaerts has actually been MLB average since midseason, I know he had a lingering wrist injury in July so hopefully it's just that, a lot of soft contact in September. I would keep Renfroe long term, he brings excellent defense(other than a lost ball in the lights) and brings a lot of pop, he makes a good #6 guy behind the big bats. Hernandez is in the same mold. Those guys can't be your best guys but they are good as 5th to 7th best hitters. I would keep Schwarber and move JDM. Schwarber is younger, is more the type to work the count and you don't lose any power. JD's bat has slowed and he seems to guess a lot more, plus you can't have two of those guys.

$324 Million for a SP that performs like that . Only 7 more years left on the Deal . I think Tampa Bay's Pitching Depth gets the Best of the Sox .

JDM back for the TB series but no Barnes. Wonder if he has an injury? He struggled in Aug but has looked better lately. Velo is down a bit to around 94...slider has looked good.
I would have kept less pitchers and added a 3rd C or Duran instead of 13 pitchers.

Not a great start last night, started off poorly with ERod in the 1st two innings and hitting a lot of balls hard but right at fielders.
Need a strong start from Sale and a bit more luck on hard hit balls tonight.

Well that was pretty sweet after a rough 1st game. Lots of heros deserve credit...Kiki ERod(game4) Vazquez Pivetta Houck(game 2) plus there are others.

The offense has taken a nice step forward in the playoffs, grinding out AB's and not chasing as many pitches out of the zone.

they're setting post season records for homers/slams/ hits....... i'd say they are doing alot more than grinding out AB's
Kike Hernandez is reminding me of a healthy Dustin Pedroia...... total sparkplug

The main guy who seems to be trying to hit HR's is Bogaerts and he is struggling. He is bailing out of off speed pitches and missing FB's, needs to get back to using the whole field and HR's will come.

RS had a chance to step on their throats last night and kept leaving runners on base after the 2 run HR. The strike zone went from wide(Graveman) to narrow(Eovaldi) in the late innings and cost them as well, should have been 3 outs at 2-2 but Lance Diaz thought otherwise.

great pitching performance last night gotta tip your hat
Sox gave me alot more than i was expecting but realistically this club as designed was not a championship calibre club.... will be interesting to see what they do goin forward..... need more pitching for sure

Bloom made a lot of shrewd additions and guys like Sale, Eovaldi and ERod came back to contribute a lot more than in 2020. Here is where I think there might be changes... -I wonder if JDM opts out, or if they trade him, Schwarber seemed like a great fit in that lineup but those two guys play the same role. -I think they will add a couple of bullpen arms, will be interesting to see if they bring Ottavino back. -They need another starter if ERod leaves, though Houck and Whitlock could be full time starters in 2022. Sale Eovaldi Pivetta should be locks. -would be nice to see the offense more consistent next year, wonder if they look to make changes there?

I am no fan of the Red Sox but who would want to see The Astros win anything ? I get what you are saying, but they are a highly skilled team with lots of talent and have been for several years now. You have to wonder why they felt the need to cheat in 2017 with all the talent that they have. The answer to that from what I have been reading is that almost all teams were cheating in some way with respect to sign stealing, and stuff on the ball. That would include the Red Sox and Yankees and they have both been mentioned at different times with cheating allegations. Nobody really knows who was cheating and who wasn't. So they cheated because they felt they had to to keep up with the opponents ... whether that is right or wrong. The Astros were the only ones who got caught because somebody in the know spoke up with allegations against them. The league followed through with an investigation and found some things, but didn't have enough unless the players owned up to it. So they gave the players immunity to get the truth, and the truth came out. I think if the players could go back and make that decision again they probably stay quiet because it has tarnished their careers and probably their chance at the HOF. So I don't harbour any ill will against Houston ... they are an excellent ball club and didn't do anything that most other teams weren't doing. Atlanta cheated also around the same time in 2017 I think it was ... nypost.com/2017/11/21/braves-lose-treasure-trove-of-prospects-in-cheating-scandal/Do you cut Atlanta some slack and not Houston ?
