Not sure if this is a record but quite surprising that 6 of 8 series are tied at 2 after 4 games, only Colorado(4-0) and Pittsburgh(3-1) are not.

Looking forward to tonight's game #1 between Tampa and Florida. SHOULD be a dandy series. I thought round 1 might tighten up a bit from the regular season but still a lot of offense in round 1. Do we think these 2 tighten it up at all or is this whole series a battle to be the first to 4 or 5 goals?

They assumed that their only route to a cup was thru Tampa. They pretty much matched them last year by not letting it get into a defensive struggle it was wide open. The Blues will want to keep score down vs Colorado. Its what they will need to do to win. CAR/NYR probably be more defensive than their opening rounds. NYR need to tighten up to avoid needing 7 again. CGY doesn't want a scorefest. They have the goalie to win low scoring games.

I actually expect Calgary to have the easiest time of all teams in round 2 partly because of the goaltending. I think they win in 4 or 5 against Edmonton.

The speed Colorado plays with is unbelievable. I can't see anyone beating them if they remain healthy. Binnington almost stole 1 last night but the OT was as 1 sided as you'll get at playoff time.

Very interested to see how their series with Edmonton plays out as I expect Calgary's depth and style to give the Oilers fits. But the McDavid factor really levels any playing field.

The last thing I expected with Calgary playing was a 9-6 game.

All Calgary did in the first two games was give Edmonton reason to believe they are never out of a game. Calgary did nothing to break Edmonton.
When the Edmonton goal got disallowed (quick whistle) they came right back and scored again a minute or so after.
Calgary will start to think they can't stop them.
