I think TB wins in 5 if Point is ready for the final. Goaltending gap is huge. Toronto almost beat Tampa with Campbell. The Avs are deeper and have a better D than Toronto has. If Kadri and Kuemper are out I fear it could be 4 or 5 games. Not having to go 7 will be a big plus for TB.

I am pretty sure Kadri is playing
I do agree tho if Point returns and Kuemper does not.... we have a 3 peat but i am looking forward to what should be a very entertaining stanley cup final for the first time in quite awhile

Nazem Kadri skated on Sunday without using a stick. Coach Jared Bednar wasn't ready to rule out Kadri for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, but it doesn't appear as though the Avalanche forward is ready to return yet following surgery. He sustained what is believed to be a thumb injury in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final.

The last video I saw of him practicing, he looked awful. He wasn't even close to coming back. With it being a knee injury too, they may be smart to let him sit as long as he needs to. They have enough fire power and depth to win it all without him.

Have to think Kadri is done after surgery. If its a broken thumb holding a stick would be pretty difficult over the next 2 weeks.
Point getting more time may get him back in if its a sprain he's dealing with but at this time of year these guys become Superman so either suiting up wont shock me but i'd expect to see Point before Kadri.

My uneducated guess was a high ankle sprain for Point.

Will be interesting to see his skating. He tried to play the game he got hurt and could not push off.

Definitely didn't expect that. I think it was early in the third round I saw the video of him practising, and he didn't look anywhere close to returning. If he really is ready to play, it'll probably be the push Tampa needs to get their third straight.

That was a fun game to watch last night except for the 2 Tampa goals in the 2nd period.
As an Avs fan glad to be up 1-0 in spite of having a game where they didn't play their A game even though that could be attributed to playing the defending champs but then again Tampa most likely feels like they didn't play their best game either.
Colorado has to keep skating and moving the puck fast- I don't think Tampa can handle their speed without resorting to obstruction which Tampa is very good at doing and getting away with it.
Bottom two lines played well ( that is the major difference between the 2022 team versus the 2020 and 2021 teams) with the cycle game and got some good hits.

Word out of Colorado is that Cogliano is available for tonight, Newhook would move up to the third line and Aube-Kubel out.
