Evander Kane having himself a good playoffs to date. 11gp 12G 3A +9 Will be interesting to see what kind of contract he can get this summer ... very talented player - but teams will be leery to commit to anything they can't walk away from if the off-ice drama returns.

What a crazy series. Weird goals, big saves, questionable hits. Really thought Calgary's depth would shine but they're getting nothing going and Markstrom has been awful.
Hard to not see Tampa and Colorado as the last 2 standing right now.

I was thinking Calagry would win because Markstrom is better/more consistent than Smith and Calgary is deeper but, as you said things have gone sideways for them. On a selfish note, hope Calgary loses as it bumps up the Habs(Cgy 1st) pick 1 or 2 spots up in the draft.

I can see Kane resigning in Edmonton for sure, especially with the current success they're having. He will likely get a raise again of course but I think he fills out Edmonton's top 6 nicely. If this team gets an even better goalie and another top 4 D-man they could be a favorite to finally go the distance.

I am not that surprised with Edmonton over Calgary thus far..... i think Calgary is and has been extremely overrated all year long and yeah the Flames have way more depth but i don't bet against generational talent stepping up in a short series and right now McDavid is on another level

If he’s smart (we know he isn’t) then he’d be wise to hitch his wagon to McJesus and go wherever he can take him. I expect, given his grim financial situation however that he will take the most guaranteed money he can get. Most guys his age, who find that success I think would want to be paid a fair salary and stay in a good situation… at 30 years old and broke though, he’s probably thinking I can get one last big contract and hopefully don’t squander it away.

Colorado blew a big chance at finishing off St.Louis with a 3 goal lead and 1 goal lead with a minute + left.

Colorado blew a big chance at finishing off St.Louis with a 3 goal lead and 1 goal lead with a minute + left. They played scared in the 3rd....minus that goal of the year candidate by MacKinnon but the delay afterwards to clean the hats helped St. Louis regroup. St. Louis is a tough team to play against. They are down Krug and have lost Binnington and are still showing zero quit. I hope it goes 7 just to see how the Avs handle the pressure.

Blues falling behind early was best thing to happen to them..... they had to focus on actually playing hockey instead of the foolishness of taking runs at Kadri all night long like they did in game 4

Brutal "no goal" call tonight. At worst it was inconclusive (that's being generous) and the call on the ice should have stood. I can't see how they could call that a distinct kicking motion.

Bieksa and Botterill trying to defend it was cringeworthy too I thought. Their entire argument was that he disguised it well. Zero attempt to view it through the lense of "was it a distinct kicking motion?" The problem is that there were so many worse pucks off of skates were called goals during the season. There is just zero standard or consistency. I'll also take this opportunity to say its time to move on from Ron MacLean. I'm sure there's some niche interviewer role he'd be better in but as the host of the main broadcast i'm finding him unwatchable at times.
