Happens at a good time is the only silver lining. Only 6 games in the next 21 days.

Totally unexpected flurry of moves by the Leafs
See how it pans out but theres no denying Dubas feeling the heat to pull out all the stops to go deep this year

I like Engvall. Seems he always played well AGAINST the Islanders. Hopefully he will now play well FOR the Islanders.

What can we expect from Sandin in Washington? Honestly totally forgot Gustafsson was with the Caps.

What can we expect from Sandin in Washington? Honestly totally forgot Gustafsson was with the Caps. Smooth skating young dman still trying to find top 4 consistency. Can definitely run a 2nd PP and in his prime is probably going to be a solid top 4 guy that you can trust but he kind of plateaued a bit and started getting lost in the depth. The key for Washington will be to find a way to get him minutes and hope he can make big strides in year 2 of a 2 year deal. Ice time shouldn't be much issue over the rest of this season with the current state of the Caps D.

Can't score enough to play higher but always brings speed on the forecheck. 3rd rounder is a solid price for him. You probably get that back this time next year as a UFA if not in contention.

Toronto has made some good moves to improve on D and up front, it will still come down to the big 4 guys producing at playoff time and one of their goalies getting hot. Getting past round 1 still has a big road block in Vasilevskiy.

Getting past round 1 still has a big road block in Vasilevskiy. When it comes down to crunch time its finding unexpected hero's. Great players get you in the position to win....but sometimes its the others that rise to the occasion and produce at unexpected times. It wasn't Stamkos beating Toronto in game 7...it was Nick Paul scoring twice. Someone has to step up when those occasions arise. It doesn't have to be a star forward necessarily. But it has to be someone.

Might be expensive due to Murray's 23-24 cap hit.
