Didn't have the same effort the 2nd half of the game that we had early on . We took a few dumb penalties that didn't help the cause . We really do lack a True Sniper ......a real finisher .

Isn't Goyens part of the leadership group?
Can you elaborate on what he said?

Yeah very curious to know what he said. Didn't Cassidy have a problem with this too? Very strange since there are only even 7 guys left from that group.

Cliff notes: Goyens said it was his most embarrassing game as coach so far Also said he sees too many players playing under their own agenda Says if players cannot commit to playing here and think it's "too tough" his door is always open and will facilitate their departure if need be. If players expect any support from the crowd than they should expect to put out an effort on the ice that deserves support from the people in the building. This wasn't everything said but just particular points that I remember off the top of my head.

Something must be going on because apparently Simon said at his Q&A that anybody that didn't want to be here just let them know and they will try their best to accommodate them . This comment on the Fan Support and giving them something to cheer for ...."SPEAKS VOLUMES" . The Leadership Group ? ....Could he have been talking about the 19's and 20 's ?

Come to think of it , Matt Anthony didn't seem too thrilled about the Win in the Post Game Show . He did mention something about Players still not committing to the Forecheck .

Anybody thinking that somebody wants out and "if" so who ? When they made reference to the Leadership Group is it simply a 19 or 20 ? or someone wearing a Letter ?

Anybody thinking that somebody wants out and "if" so who ? When they made reference to the Leadership Group is it simply a 19 or 20 ? or someone wearing a Letter ? Wouldn't shock me if one or more players wanted out I mean Justin Bergeron called it quits just four games into the season and now all of a sudden he might end up back in the Q and end up being traded to the Remparts. Goyens saying yesterday "If players cannot commit to playing here and think it's "too tough" his door is always open and will facilitate their departure if need be." and "If players expect any support from the crowd than they should expect to put out an effort on the ice that deserves support from the people in the building." To me speaks very loudly and sounds like some of the guys on this team thought they could arrive here and go through the motions and people would show up in droves to the rink and cheer for them like their rockstars. Which if that's the case some of these guys need a news flash that they're not rockstars and people sure as hell aren't going spend their money and more importantly their time to watch them half-ass their way through the season. When this team went on it's six game winning streak they forechecked and backchecked relentlessly to the point that they were almost always on top of their opponents and they never stopped skating. They would block shots and get into the passing lanes picking off passes and frustrated the hell out of their opponents to the point that by the end of the game their opponents forgot about hockey and were more focused on taking their heads off. So if some of these guys can't or won't commit to that style of hockey I'm not sure I want them here either.

I said this at the beginning of the year and I will say it again, 20's on a rebuilding team are so key to the chemistry and balance, it's almost more important then who's behind the bench.
We are so Fu*CK#D for the rest of the season, it's not even funny.
The fear of losing is sooo, strong that the panic is over ruling any logic in coaching, development or a proper re-build. Let's get Ivan 35 mins a game..he needs more time on the PP and PK and centering 2 lines a night. That's the way you develop for next year and beyond...oh wait...Ivan will be playing in some beer league next season and the young guys who are still here will left holding the ball.

Yet he gets PP, PK, Top line minutes, while a guy like Cote, who puts in 100% every shift gets scratched. Shitty work ethic and zero accountability is contagious. We are not winning and no one in their right mind is coming to watch Johnson play hockey. So why not play Cote..at least is effort is the right kind of contagious that the young guys need. Look at the D, if I am a coach do I want Daigle and Lavoie learning from a guy like Thursten, who spends more time flopping around on the ice then he does playng...but yet somehow never misses a shift. Or a guy like Shortall , who lacks the highend skill but will block a shot with his face if it means keeping it out of his net.

Losing is hard, it's takes it toll, but stick to the plan. It will be too late when your young prospects are all asking for trades because the development model was one that supported over age selfishness and personal agendas.
The guy I feel bad for in all of this Langlois, thru all this BS, he is still doing his best to play the right way, he is struggling and I am not sure if it's a confidence thing or a nagging injury or what, but he is not quite himself.
