Outshot Shawinigan 37-25 but Satny gave up 5 goals in a 5-4 Loss . At this point it has become clear to me that we might not have a "TRUE" #1 Goalie . Looking ahead is Ruccia the Guy next Season or will Sly go in another direction ? If he does convince the Cloutier Kid to report then I can see a tandem with Ruccia to start the Season with hopes that he takes the reigns and runs with the job .

our biggest hole on the team , i said before if an import was a way, just hope he don't keep Satny as a 20 year old and praying Sly can convince the Cloutier kid , like you said hal .didn't like Satny pulling himself out of the game last month .

Eagles win Game 3 of a 6 Game Road Trip against Blainville in impressive form 5-0 . Newcombe and Boutin leading the way Offensively and more importantly Nic Ruccia posting a Shut Out . Hopefully they come right back with him again .

Wow, has this board ever lost traction in the last month or so.
Not exactly sure what happened last night, I missed the first half of the game. Val'Dor can score goals, well at least in the past 2 weeks anyway.
4 games in and we have 1 win, with 2 really tough games to go. RN rested and waiting for a tired group to show up, it will take a full bag of Goyens magic to get 2 pts tonight.

Why wasnt Ruccia pulled after that 5th goal , when the game was still in reach ? It wasnt his night.

Wow, has this board ever lost traction in the last month or so. This is like our 3rd straight season at the bottom of the league. Playoffs in the QMJHL isn't like making the NHL playoffs where 50% of the teams are eliminated so its not like there's a stampede of people excited for a playoff game. So people are mostly looking at the following 2 seasons while this mess comes to an end. We should be demanding answers as to why the results are not better. Why the 2 veteran D we added have not provided much in terms of veteran stability and the team is still around SJ and Bathurst in the standings while Moncton is a full step ahead of us. But what do you do at this point? I'm sure another town hall is only a couple of weeks away where we'll hear great plans and promises and hear about depth charts that will mean nothing by the end of the midget draft but it gets hard to buy into absolutely any of that when you know how things are really going just based on the reality of pulling up the overall league standings and seeing the amount of transactions that happen at trade time.

How is this mess going to come to and end? We are chasing 15th place in the standings like it actually means something, while those teams around us are actually in a rebuild. Play-offs should be the end result of sustainable development model, instead they become the only goal while the rest gets put on hold. I can only imagine the trade period next Christmas when we sit 14th in the league.

I was silly enough to actually think a legit rebuild would happen and patience would be rewarded. We didn't even make it 6 months from drafting #1 overall to start paying high prices for vets while still at the bottom. And from my perspective: Both Biggar and Schmitt need to be bringing a lot more. Both deals look absolutely terrible right now.

If I were to map out what the rest of the season should look like, 14 games, it would look nothing like the first 54...the vets had 54 games to figure it out, time's up boys. The audition for next season needs to start now.

The audition for next season needs to start now. For who, though? You can only realistically call it an audition for certain players. Biggar, Schmitt, Lavoie, and Daigle certainly aren't viewing it as any audition. If you break it down you basically have a few 19yr olds auditioning to play in the league next year. The problem here is the audition should be for the management who have put this team on the ice. The coaching staff who have led a disappointing season. Why are we still holding players accountable for things the adults off the ice are doing?

Right now I have Squires/Houde/Newcombe who I can comfortably pencil into the top 9 next year. When do we get to see what the rest can do, Oct 2023? Just look around the league at the other re-building teams, we are doing a terrible job of developing our roster for next season. Hey but Johnson/Ivan/Boutin are a combined -60

Hey but Johnson/Ivan/Boutin are a combined -60 For me you can pencil Patterson and Shields into the top 9, seeing what they’ve done at 17 and 16 years old, there’s no reason they shouldn’t be there at 18/17. Maybe it’s mostly on the 3rd line or a tweener 2nd/3rd line type deal but they’re top 9 for me.
