That's not overly surprising. Roy played for the Habs during the 80's and early 90's, Thibault played during the dead-puck era. Roy had a better GAA and Save% during the same time period that Thibault was a hab Roy also played on a powerhouse Colorado team while JT played for a Habs team going backwards. So is Thibault is better than Roy?

The Canadiens have acquired defenseman Gustav Lindström and a conditional 4th-round pick in 2025 in exchange for defenseman Jeff Petry.

They gave up Rem Pitlick and Hoffman for a 2nd rounder, 4th rounder, Casey desmith, Nathan legare, and Lindstrom and this is a bad return?

I don't know Lindstrom very much, he was a 2nd round pick and is not a flashy d-man. It creates a bit of a log jam, maybe pushes Xhekaj and Barron to Laval... Matheson Savard Kovacevic Guhle Lindstrom Harris Wideman

No surprise, Paul Byron is expected to retire before the start of the season.

Any Mitchkov discussion was edited out . i would assume where he is now property of philadelphia, they probably arent allowed to comment on a player outside the habs organization

Having them say negative things about him would likely piss off Phillie for no good reason. There are surely other players named but names blanked out as well.
