I wouldn't say I was reading their obituary. Just explaining my prediction. For Halifax to win this series they need Mathis to play like he did against Sherbrooke. They need to make Quebec make mistakes and get in their face like they did against Sherbrooke. The Remparts have won their last 20 games. If they lose one in this series, will it have a snowball effect like it did with the Phoenix? There are avenues for success for Halifax. I should do a better job articulating that in my write-ups. You actually set me up perfectly for this response. Halifax actually played Quebec 24 games ago(for Quebec that is). Do you know what happened then? They started a 4 game losing streak for Quebec. Also once again though we can’t have nice things still Halifax beat them both games this year and both times they Quebec didn’t have to deal with L’Heureux. He’s going to cause fits. I voted Halifax in 6. I also voted that last series. I’ve been say this all year this team can win it all. Quebec were missing quite a few regulars from their lineup at that point but I get what you're saying. L'Heureux vs Malatesta will be a story line in this series. It will be interesting to see which one will have the biggest impact on this series while not going over the edge. L'Heureux has done a fantastic job walking that line so far in the playoffs. Those two are in for some battles with each other. Gaucher vs Lawrence at the faceoff dot will be a treat to watch. There are lots of small battles in amongst the big one.

Throw out the Moose film with Dumais in lineup. And look at how they play with L'Heureux who is on a mission. Nobody thought Sherbrooke or Gatineau would lose 4 straight games a week and a half ago. I think one of these teams wins in 4 or 5 games. Because it seems improbable. Likely is. This Moose team all season has been the most potent offensively I have ever watched in Moose uniforms. The other opponents are scared of their ability to score that it changes how they play. That stat I read over weekend is just unheard of in hockey. The Mooseheads have given up 20 PPG since January sometime in January. But scored 13 SHG in that time. It makes teams think. While not advised Halifax can play on the edge if they need to and get away with it. And can open it up or button it down. Learned how to play this way and it's hard to believe even if they lose first 2 in this next series that anyone will think they are out of it. Starting on the road is probably good for this team.

Good God. lol. You said that can change the way teams play. That's probably a big reason why Sherbrooke's power play was ineffective. As long as they had the puck on their stick, Halifax couldn't burn them. They were passing the puck around but shooting it might cause a turnover and it did on multiple occasions. Besides your goaltender, the best defense of a good power play might be to get in their heads that any little mistake could end up in the back of your net, which causes teams to tighten up or subconsciously alter their habits. I agree Halifax can play on that edge because they aren't scared to kill a penalty here and there. They aren't scared to ice a puck every once in a while because they can chuck Josh Lawrence out on the faceoff and he'll win it 66% of the time. Great teams turn small advantages into big advantages.

Halifax had 145 shots in the Sherbrooke series but scored 20 goals. (And they could have shot more but didnt)
13.7% conversion rate
Against a team that never loses at home.

I think it took them all day to secure the hotel rooms and arrange charters for teams and league officials that's why we waited so long for this schedule. Actual start times info is still possible to change. Thursday May 25 is the media day at Kamloops so all participant teams will be there by then.

At Christmas time the start time is not as important. Seems to fit the audience which is different for WJC.

I got one for 80 for game 1. Still not as cheap as the official sales price but it is what it is. Always said I'd go to the finals if they make it. I'll be checking Ticketmaster for resale tickets when I am in Quebec for game 2. I am hoping someone will be unable to make it last minute and try to get rid of their ticket without a 200% markup. Also my first away game watching the moose!

The schedule release from the Q Twitter page has @eastlink on it. Assuming they show Games 1 and 2, and then TSN over from there.
