So they should have lost in one of their three OT to make you think they did face adversity? The fact is that the series against Gatineau was close from start to finish. They faced adversity and came through every time. The first words out of Roy’s mouth after the series were about his team’s resilience. Must I point out again that Gatineau has been the top team since January? Most people on this board and around the Q gave the series win to Gatineau. Now that Quebec has won in 4 games, they did it without sweat? If I was just looking at stats with the Moose like you did with the Remparts, I’d say they had it pretty easy in the last 4 games outscoring Sherbrooke 16 to 4. Still not buying what you're selling :-) Adversity is being down in a series and fighting back to win. Giving up 2 and 3 goal leads a couple of times over 12 games and then eventually winning those tight games is just the flow of a hockey game. While there may be instances of adversity in any game, like being assessed a 5 minute penalty to kill, but from a threat to your playoff life, Que hasn't had a rough stretch whatsoever. I don't think you were ever down by more than 1 goal and held the lead for 98% of your playoffs. We can agree to disagree. Here's to an entertaining series!

Quebec has never won Presidents Cup (in the Beauport-Quebec version of the Remparts)
They want to go 16-0 because nobody ever does that. They don't want adversity. They want to meet it head on and overcome it.
They put themselves in position to win every game in the Gatineau series by elevating their game and outlasted the other team. They should have no regrets.
Next series is the next series. To this point Roy should be given some credit here for having his team ready. Only need to win each game by one goal. That was good enough in some of the Gatineau games. I think they measure up quite well.
It could have gone 7 but it didn't. And a great team looks forward not backwards.

Willing to give him credit for pushing the right buttons and getting the team this far? Or do you all think he's been blessed with a can't miss roster that Cam put together for him? He's managed around two injuries to key players. The defensive structure has been better. I don't see too much grumbling about his line combos in the game threads. He's done a good job of getting Furlong out there against the opponents top line. He's been able to bounce the team back from a loss against Moncton and two against Sherbrooke. Colour me impressed.

Checked the TSN schedule online, didn’t see anything for the QMJHL series, they are showing OHL and WHL games though, hopefully that changes. IIHF men’s worlds is also on TSN.

Btw - everyone keeps talking about Dumais coming back or not. But what about Whynot? Last time I heard about him he was out because of an "illness". Anyone know anything? Would love to have him back.

Whynot was with the team for both their trips to Sherbrooke and has been on the ice for their morning skates... but I guess not healthy enough to play. His absence has hurt MacKinnon quite a bit I think, who has seen his even strength icetime decrease as the playoffs has gone along.

My guess is that TSN just hasn’t updated their tv listings (it tends to happen a lot particularly for sports tv where there’s so much schedule change quickly compared to scripted tv)- as even those ones list “TBA vs. TBA”. The word was from the league that all 3 league finals were all being broadcast on TSN and RDS as of Game 3 (hence the 8pm local start time for Game 3 and 4).

I know the NHL network in US is carrying some of the OHL series. The WHL games are much later when they get to games 3 4 5 since it's a 2-3-2 series. I have yet to see clear communication from TSN that they are covering the Q final on the main national network. Often times they say TSN/RDS for a reason. Would need English bdcst crew to do it for national and frankly the interest is very small outside Quebec to pay for that. Call me cynical if you want but they just don't have the motivation to do that.

Call me cynical if you want but they just don't have the motivation to do that. When the league announced the schedule for this series- it did say “For English viewers, TSN will present the Final from Games 3-7, while Eastlink Community TV will broadcast Games 1-2”. TSN’s deal had them covering last year’s Shawinigan/Charlottetown games the exact same way. Between that quote from the league and the 8pm start time for Game 3 and 4- I’d 100% say they are broadcasting all 3 league finals nationally and just haven’t updated their website listings (which is surprisingly common at playoff times when there is so much fluctuation in pro sports schedules- which my guess is the NBA conference finals could decide which TSN channel the CHL playoffs get). My guess is they’d utilize some of their Montreal based broadcast crews that don’t have the Habs to cover to do this series.

Tickets are selling FAST!
I got the presale, I decided to check in at 11am to see what was left, lots of website traffic it’s going pretty slow. I put a quantity of 2 at 11am and got Section 40 ROW T, I think it’s going to be a sell out!
I got Section 10 & 20 for the games, sadly on the side Quebec shoots twice, but can’t wait.
Go Moose!

Yah 20 minutes into sales and there's probably 1000 tickets left to both games counting the blocks that will be released later.

I’m glad I have a season ticket and didn’t need to deal with this ticket sale but can we unanimously agree that people buying tickets just to put them on stub hub right away for a 300% markup are a disgrace to our society?

Ticket sales have stopped from their initial surge and there is actually an increase in tickets available from 20 minutes ago due to people searching from the best seat available in multiple tabs and not clearing out. So it doesn't look like it will sell out immediately.

Already a higher attendance than Game 3 and Game 4 vs the Rouyn Noranda Huskies in 2019, those games were a Monday and a Tuesday. 8,000 and 8,200.
Just have to convince people to get upper bowl seats, they are still good you still get the full ice! It’s the league finals! I’m still expecting a 9,200 or more in attendance for the games.
