Mooseheads blew their chance to win the series last night,
Quebec wins 4-1 tonight, wraps it up in Game 5 at home,
Time to move on to the draft… oh yeah the Mooseheads have no draft picks worth a damn!!!

Key for the Moose is to keep the feet moving and drive to the net. They are 4 for 6 on the PP this series but they could be forcing the Remparts to take a couple more penalties early on in the game. The refs are putting the whistle away in the 3rd so unlikely to get an opportunity then. A strong start is needed and keep the pressure on Quebec.

If refs put the whistles away like they do it's an opportunity for the Moose to dial up physicality. May need to tip toe at start of game but not as things get going. Refs get tired of it and they get tired of teams playing victim - so as game goes on thats better if you can muscle thru with 5 on 5.
Quebec hasn't lost a road game yet in playoffs. They have 3 OT road wins. I can't think off top of my head of a Q team that was undefeated on road for an entire playoff. Doesn't mean they won't lose a road game yet its just where we stand right now.
Halifax lost via shift management in game 3. It takes great discipline to dump a puck and potentially give up a potential rush to get the tired guys off but they need to do it ssooner. I also think fresher D (difficult with Moravec out again) will not look sloppy under pressure. The game was lost in those corners.

Moravec did come back briefly after he left hurt, didn't he? I seem to remember a rush down the wing that he looked fine. Didn't realize he left again. That would (again) be a huge loss. Not only because he really stepped up his play and presence in the second half and playoffs, but because the existing group have been looking tired since Sherbrooke. A lot of young guys playing huge minutes against big, strong teams. They have done an incredible job so far though.
Dumais looked very good in limited playing time. You could see Quebec finishing every single check on him, though. Still, good to have another weapon up front.
HUGE game tonight. As close to a must win as you get for the Moose.

Man why do I have to come back here and say this again. You fans can’t have nice things can you? Yes I do agree Halifax lost a chance here. However how quickly we forget what happened last round? We lost a game in OT then what happened? They came back and won 4 straight. All year the Sky is falling the sky is falling but this team has always came back and showed how good they really are. All I’m saying is take a breath and give it a minute. Sadly last nights game was lost because Quebec pined them in their own zone 3 times and scored on it.
Here’s a take away no one’s really talking about Halifax has scored 9 goals on their last 55 shots on Rousseau. His save percentage has dropped 13 points in the last 2 games. His save percentage against Halifax is down to 878 when going into the series he was 929. They seem to have his number. The problem is our Rousseau has been shacky him self.
Halifax isn’t out of it yet. That was only the first game all playoffs they lost when they got the first goal. Here’s the problem they need to get that 2nd one too. They had a problem doing that last night. They need someone in front creating traffic and eating up the garbage.

I think they should spend a good hour in practice today learning how to flip the puck out of there own end. I don't play ice hockey but it doesn't seem like it would be that hard of a task. Moravec did come back but then I didn't see him after that. Two guys hit him at the same time. Looked like something on purpose to me but maybe I am just paranoid.

Bolduc hit him and Roy was behind so Moravec and Roy collided. Roy was also shaken on the play but I guess Moravec being already injured since last game he took it harder.

You would expect to pull out a victory being able to score 4 goals against Quebec - but the positive thing is that it's not like the other Rousseau is looking unbeatable. A little bit more puck luck, finish a few more breakaways or odd man chances and we've absolutely got it in us to win this thing.

It's actually baffling how poorly both teams have played in support of their goaltending. I mean look at how the goals have developed. A couple each guy would like back but as I commented to my seat mate last night when Moose started strong...it was just too easy. Quebec PP looked horrendous in that 1st period. Halifax is very opportunistic when down a man. Halifax has a high scoring % because of the types of chances they are getting. The Quebec D has yet to really appear this series.

Just single seats remain for tonight's game. There are four rows of seats behind TSN's cameras in section 33, much like the world juniors. I would imagine the "obstructed view" seats will open up for purchase soon.
