HC Verva Litvinov has excercised their option for Jan Sprynar for next season. Not 100% what this means but looks like he may not be back.

According to EP, He’s listed as playing there next year I couldn't blame Sprynar for wanting to play back home. He was traded 2 times in one season. It's hard enough to play so far away from home let alone having to uproot your life twice mid-season... especially knowing that coming back to Halifax you may just end up being traded again by the end of it.

Yeah playing pro closer to home or coming to Halifax to play for a rebuilding team and likely to be traded for the third time in two years ? Would be an easy decision if it was me

Maybe if he doesn’t then he’ll return to Halifax. But sounds like there’s a good chance he won’t be back.

Hindsight is 20/20, but yea, because we got swept in round 1 that trade will likely go down as Halifax getting absolutely hosed in a year or two... especially if Peitzsche ends up putting up 70 points or something.

Liam Kilfoil to Bathurst would be nice to see this off season.

Liam Kilfoil to Bathurst would be nice to see this off season. That doesn't make any sense for a laundry list of reasons.

Just when you think the 2023-2034 Mooseheads season couldn’t have been any worse we get the news on Sprynar.
A good young player plus 2 relatively high picks for nothing and keep in mind that this trade plus the Reynolds trade, who didn’t score in the playoffs, were done after Dumais and Furlong had asked to be traded.
I hope the season ticket base takes a major hit just so the Simons can take a financial hit for not giving Dumais and Furlong what they wanted , it was obvious this team was going nowhere but they made a business decision , well I hope a lot of fans, myself included, make the business decision not to pay for bullshit decision making.

Well I guess I am going to be a big schmuck because I renewed my tickets for next season. One way or another with management mistakes or not, this upcoming season was going to be a rebuild. As I said before there will probably be some lean nights at the Scotiabank Centre, but I still enjoy the aspects of rebuilding a team, having great draft picks and watching players develop. That will be enough to keep my interest until we come around again with a competitive team.
