Near sellout for Friday and you have to expect close to the same for Saturday by puck drop.
Our fan base is similar to the Blue Jays. Give the fans something to get excited about and the support will be there.
Put them in a position to be frustrated and not see a path to success and its very hard to get regular support.
Hopefully the overall situation here now is the sign ownership needs to really better understand this market and continue to make the right decisions in many areas that will positively influence fan support.
Its not even about winning 10 in a row or 14 in 15 or whatever. Or good coaching. Or smart trades. Or good marketing. Its a slice of every single thing making this situation be as good as it is. And even in down years I think the support can be there as long as people can be proud of the team and see a plan in place.
Very exciting weekend ahead.

Hard to stay interested when the team is all over the place! Cape is in a good spot right now and next year they will be a top 3 team with Moncton and Rimouski. Should be a fun couple years ahead for eagles fans

This series is going to be super interesting and fun to watch! I think special teams will play a big role.
Powerplay in playoffs: Sags: #2 with 6 goals of 17 pp opportunities Eagles: #9 with 4 goals of 16 pp opportunities
Penalty kill in playoffs: Sags: #2 with 1 goal allowed of 14 pks (Sags have 1 short handed goal) Eagles: #14 with 7 goals allowed of 17 pks
I think the Eagles need to bring their physical play but keep out of the box. Also the Eagles have Shortall who has been shot blocking machine - would love to see stats on that.

Maybe they adjust this series, Squires, Houde, Patterson need more time on the PK, rather than have guys just sitting back and eating shots. With Delafontaine, in the net, you can expect PP goals will be harder to come by, so we had better get our PK up in the 85% range. Staying out of the box, you can clean that up will a little accountability. 3 more sleeps.

Staying out of the box, you can clean that up will a little accountability. 3 more sleeps. Teams that win Championships don't give up goals on 15% of their penalty kills. In the playoffs those teams go on streaks where they kill off 11 out of 12 over multiple games or better. They get in the head of the opponent PP, which in turn gives room to play on the edge without risk and take over a series. If you trust your PK you can play like banshees and get away with it. Many a playoff team has pointed at their lack of PP success as reason for losing. When the combined timely save & excessive blocked shots, stunt their usual reliable PP they overcompensate and lose patience. In the playoffs - most leagues - its harder to get PP opportunities in the first place and always has been. And teams practice PK and whem they buy in it becomes the difference maker. Yes CB needs more PP. But PK performance is probably what tips this series. You know you will have to kill some. Great if you don't need to, but there will be some. Just need to be very good at it. Meaning in the mid 90s.

Meaning in the mid 90s. I won't get in a stats debate, but I will say that both Vegas and Florida had nowhere close to 95% last year in the play-offs, The secret is PK + PP at 105-108% and you are winning more than you are losing. My point is, you can't run at 65% and expect to have a PP at 40%. I would take 85% all day as I feel our PP can hit 20-24% vs CHI and we are deeper 5V5.

That Sag PK scares me. Anytime a team is feeling it they are paying the price blocking shots and confident in goaltender and even getting a SH goal for they build momentum. They all work harder because watching it from the bench is a big boost to team energy.
Eagles need to break that at home and early.
Just make sure the Eagles match that. They need heroes on the D and among all the PK.

They are gonna experience Fan Support that will be even greater than Games 1 and 2 against Rimouski , those games were huge crowds but Friday's Game should be a Sell Out ( Only top of the Upper Bowl left as of Noon Today ) and Saturday's Game might be , they need to jump on the Young Sags and keep it up right from Opening Puck Drop .
