For all the Rough Nights in the Rink .....makes these nights all the more special . Couldn't agree more. The nights spent in the rink with 1500 people, watching people leave after the first period, this is just a special feeling. Watching the buzz in the arena tonight made all those nights worth sticking with it.

I’d like to know what Remi Delafontaine was thinking with about 10 minutes left and going to the bench. After the puck hit off the post of the empty net Yannik Jean was pretty wirey telling him to get back to the net. At first I thought it was a delayed penalty I seen a stick on the ice but neither ref had an arm up for a call

This was a statement game from the players and the fans. Absolutely incredible atmosphere and effort.
The team played a solid 60 minute team effort here, was excellent on the special teams, and Ruccia played great.
Special shout out to ref fans and the 4900 people who came out tn, even for those unique viewpoints deep in the upper bowl.
Hopefully they put another solid game in again tomorrow to another sold out crowd before they are on the road for 3 again.

Those 2 early PK’s were huge last night.
We are forcing teams to make the perfect play to beat us and it seemed to get in their heads a bit as the game went on.
Like everyone said the special teams were going to be key.
Bring on game 2.

Great to see all 4 lines rolling along and no huge gaps in anybody’s play lately

Hits, face offs, shots, and 5v5 play were all in favour of the Eagles last night. Still need to tidy up the careless penalties, we won’t be 100% on the PK every night. Game 2 is HUGE.

So sad seeing the passionate fans from 25 years ago, all of a sudden jumping on the bandwagon after years of forgetting about their existence. The only ones that stuck around from that era are the man that used a wrestling name and Bauer.

You are right that a lot are jumping on the Band Wagon but there are a Core Group of 1200 or so that have lived through all the Tough Times .

The funny thing about a band wagon, some are just easier to get on than others. Go Eagles

Easy game plan tonight. Stick to the script and play Eagles brand hockey. Take away the shooting lanes, passing seams and make them earn every inch gained along the boards.
Chicoutimi needs to adjust to hang with US, not the other way around.

Ask Bauer and friend if they rarely attended games the last few years. The reality is the on ice product is winning and the atmosphere is great. Simple recipe to get fans.

The only ones that stuck around from that era are the man that used a wrestling name and Bauer. Almost any junior hockey fan who has suffered through sub 2000 crowds for year after year and barely any playoff success for the entirety of the franchise would gladly accept every bandwagon fan for the experience to see a playoff game with a full building. The model of junior hockey is designed in a way that you rely on "bandwagon" fans coming out to the rink every 3-4 years when the team is ready to make a run. As a season ticket holder of the Wildcats I wouldnt blink an eye if the Wildcats could give way 4000 free tickets to playoff games if it meant the atmosphere was good. I'd imagine most die hard season ticket holders feel the same.
