The SeaDogs roll into the Coliseum on Saturday night for the first game of the season between these two teams.
The Wildcats are coming off a 8-2 win at home on Friday night against the PEI Rocket. The SeaDogs are coming off a 3-2 OT win in Bathurst on Friday night.
Riopel vs Mayer.
Hopefully the Cats have a few goals left in them after firing 8 of them off in their opener. I think this game will be close and I say we lose.

Should be a close game. I think you'll see a Goalies Duel. SJ will be missing their top 4 D's and Dido. I think Cats will pull it out, 3-2.

You forgot to say that we are in first place.

This game should be alot closer, especially with their depleted line-up. Likely a one goal game, with the Sea Dogs pulling it out. Mayer will be the difference and will make-up for the Dogs lack of defense.

You forgot to say that we are in first place. Maybe they will raise a banner tomorrow night.

We were missing our top 4 defence tonight in Grant, Sauve, Stich and Amyot. Plus Leduc, Liske, Dido, and Sparling......and we were still too much for the Titan. Watch out!! *EDIT* Sorry Mikey...and Thomas the Tank!!

Scratch for the Sea Dogs Dido Sparling Liske Leduc Thomas Grant Sauve Stich Amyot Looks like a skeleton crew again tonight gonna be a tough one defense has a combined 87 games I think most of those belong to Despres who played about 32 minutes last night. Nathan Beaulieu played about 30 minutes in his first game in the Q. My guess is those 2 might be aliottle tired tonight lol

Your definately going to be shorthanded tonight, but there are certainly advantages to missing some elite players the first week or so in the year. Not when it comes to wins and losses, nor determining who will finish highest in the standings, but until some of the young inexperienced players get a chance to show what they can do in a regular season game, some are going to get lost in the shuffle of long term planning. I am intrigued to see how each coach will adjust to the absence of these elite players tonight.

I agree and to their credit they pulled out a gutsy come from behind win against AB last night when they could have folded the tent. I hope to pull at least another point outta this game our defense has less experience then PEI so I hope we don't get shelled too. Our defense might be alittle tired tonight.

Is Sparling hurt or is he off to an NHL camp? I see he played last night.
Although Saint John is missing all those players, I don't expect to see us whip out 8 goals again. I think Mayer will be the difference for the Dogs. Their D is probably gonna be pretty tired, with guys playing lots of minutes last night and they aren't much used to that.

Sparling is suspended 2 games & yeah I expect the defense to be alittle tired tonight for sure many of them just played their first regular season game last night. I'd love a win but a point would be great!

What did Sparling do to get 2 game suspension?
I see he played last night, why didn't he serve his suspension last night?

What did Sparling do to get 2 game suspension? I see he played last night, why didn't he serve his suspension last night? He was in the lineup but didn't play so that was game #1 served not sure if it stemmed from the preseason game against the Titan or something else it's not on the Q site so I'm not to sure.
