Ive been watching this discussion with some interest given that I don't have as much experience as some of you guys. I'm a little surprised that a trade up on Lahey appears to be the suggestion. I thought he was playing well and getting better and wonder how much better someone imported would do playing with 2 rookies like Petterson and Bissonette. If we wanted to upgrade significantly wouldn't we have to replace them? realize this is not easy given the replacements would have to be 19 and under (expensive ) but how much incremental improvement will we get from replacing Lahey who is still improving? I know Bissonette is coming along well for a rookie and needs the experience but if you need strength for this year... I'd like to see Lahey get some icetime with some more experienced players ... before the trading period ends. I'd like to see what he can do with some talented linemates before they decide that he needs to be upgraded. I see a lot of talent just bubbling under the surface ... and I think with the right linemates he could be the type of guy that can bury some chances created by others. I'd like to see him play with Brown and MacAusland as a unit ... or maybe even on the banging line with Sill and Brannon ... as they create all sorts of chances.

Where's Dido on you list? And Sparling? Not on my list at all ... not interested in selfish whiney players. But ... I'd be interested in Doyle (PEI) since he would be back next year ... even though he is also a selfish player.

so you wouldn't trade for both to add some real oomph to your offense?

He'll go to another team and just make them alot better! ;D Sparling I don't think is gonna be traded even if we do sell just not sure the market is there for another 20 maybe ..... I dunno

The only way I see him going is if it is to a team that brings him in specifically to play with Dido...

I dunno Yeah ... just like he is making you guys a lot better. He has great skill ... but his weak attitude trumps his skill. Sparling is your top scorer but is weak defensively ... -3 even though he has 36 pts in 33 games. No thanks ... we don't have the time to teach him how play solid defensively. One-way players need not apply. We need well rounded players with solid character ... not two guys that have actually caused a solid team to under-achieve. We don't want your problem children.

I'm saying that the only way Sparling gets traded is if a team specifically asks for both he and Dido, for the chemistry there...it makes sense for any team that wants 2/3rds of a top line who can play together...that being said, Dido will almost certainly be traded alone...because he is valuable by himself, whereas Spar-dog is much more valuable with Dido...

I can't believe the Dogs are seriously considering selling ... and that their fans seem to be okay with it. Going back at least as far as the bginning of last year, you guys were being hyped as a potnential Mem Cup contender for this season - and now you are going to bail? Heads should roll ...

You have no clue how to build a hockey team ... you don't bring whiney brats into the dressing room when you are trying to win ... even if they are very talented hockey players. Flynn would love to get a player with Didomenico's skills ... but not Didomenico.

That has been my wish for some time now to see Lehey play on a line with Sill & Brannon, what an assume line three power forwards who like to check and can put the puck in the net
