If you can think of anyone else that would be a good fit for the Cats, name them. I heard They acquuired about Macenauer, but IMO Petit is best fit.

Tousignant would be quite expensive
if you were looking to add a 20 who could be an upgrade up front without costing much (maybe a 3rd).. you could look to Lachaine
He is a very underrated player... not the type to stand out very often but on a solid team like yours.. he could be a very good 2nd line player able to play any role
However if you're seriously considering going for it.. you likely look to upgrade that 20 slot on D

They'll acquire 3 players IMO, 1 D, 2 F's

I agree taht defense is a bigger priority, we rely too much on Barberio and Gormley.

One forward that has not been mentionned that i would put at #1 is Desjardins of RN. He will probably be back at 20, I'd trade for him before Macenauer who is drafted by Anaheim. Petit is too soft, check his career playoff stats. 39 GP 1-18-19

He is still a guy that has a reputation as being soft. If you go get a #1 center to get to the Memorial Cup, you want a guy that won't disapear in physical games and under checking.

Lachaine is not an upgrade on Lahey ... he'd be a 4th liner on our team.

I would like to see the Cats go after Danick Paquette and another top forward. I wonder if Louis LeBlanc could be convinced to report if the Cats picked up his rights? Others I would look at would be: Macenauer, Maxime Sauve?, Nicholas Deschamps(could come cheaper than expected since he is not playing like last yr). As for the D, I would like Bourdon but probably too expensive, Lessard would be good enough though.

My opinion sees BC and the Wildcats making some kind of trades for the 1st round choice that we have from BC. I'm sure they would like to have it back.....

The only good 19/20 year old forward worth trading for is Petit...and I hope they don't trade that pick for him, he's useless in the playoffs anyways...keep it unless they can get a ridiculous offer.

I completely agree......that pick is looking like a 50/50 shot at 1st overall again and with the draft in Moncton, lighting will have to strike to give that pick up. Imagine the possibilities for the next few years with the youth AND picks we have....we're shaping up to see a lot of playoff action in the coming years....that is providing dog shows and what not don't get in the way. ;D

If the Cats decided to go all out for it this season (Which I seriously doubt) I would love to see them put a blockbuster together with Saint John for Grant and Dido. Unfortunately all the talk would HAVE to include Gormley and I don't think that is a good plan. Is there anything that we have that may be able to put this in place?

Would Saint John be a trading partner or would provincial pride come into it? I dont think we have had much trades with Cape Breton since the famous boomerrang trade. I personally would hate to have Cape Breton win the league before the Moose do.

Moncton is already going all out this year, they have only lost 2 games in regulation in 10 weeks. I'm sure Moncton the Cats could get Grant and Dido without trading Gormley, guys like O'brien Down Daoust Bissonnette would be wanted by SJ. I just don't see them making that big a trade.
