We are not hearing much from the Cats end as the trade period approaches in only 3 days...
Here is one on Radoter, rumor has the Cats interested in Felix Petit and Bc is talking LBD in the trade. I'm not a fan of trading LBD but I prefer that to trading them back their 2008 1st. The strength of the 2008 draft is goalies so I'm sure we could replace him.
I'm not sold on Petit as a playoff performer though.

Cats have acquired about Jeff Desjardins and or Maxine Macenauer from RN. Also have talked about Marc Andre Bourdon but price is too high.
Domingue won't be dealt.

He's another Riopel in 2 years. You have to be patient with goaltenders. I'm sure you would be disapointed if the Mem cup year team had decided to trade Riopel. You always have to look at what players will cost later on. Right now Petit for LBD is too much IMO.

Its obvious Domingue has talent and upside, but you never know how these kids are going to turn out by the time they are 18 and 19. You are adding something proven for something unproven. Obviously you'd have to trade more unproven commodities (Picks and Prospects) to add proven talent.

GORMLEY, LBD AND BISSONNETTE will be key pieces to the puzzle next year and the following year for the cats to bring home the memorial cup, Danny will not be trading either of them but we will soon see if im right or not,

I wouldn't go looking to trade LBD, but if the right deal came up I'd trade him ahead of BC's 1st. This is a good draft year for goalies.

Isn't Petit more of a set up man than a goal scorer which doesn't do us much good considering our offensive abilities, we need a sniper more than a set-up man, he would definitely help but he doesn't seem what we're looking for.

Guys like Brown Brannon Famin are very good finishers...but they don't play 1st line. Eagles is the finisher with Cameron and Lessard.

Next year could be Gormley's last. Why do you say that? Surely he won't be playing in the NHL at 18? i can't see that happening either. 18 yo Dmen in the NHL aren't very common. at 19 it might be a possiblity for Gormley, but not at 18.

i think it is a possibility to see gormley playing in the nhl @ 18 lots of d men there now in the nhl long shot but still a shot at being there.

That's why this year might be the year to make a serious effort at winning. Next year's Wildcats could turn out to be the 2007-2008 Senators or the 2008-2009 Canadiens. Teams with lots of promise that people said would be in the finals the following year but failed to find the same chemistry the following year. If you want Q league examples look no further than last year and Halifax. From a team with great hopes to a dsyfunctional family at the end. Edit: I didn't say sell the farm but with all the young assets and picks that the Wildcats have, they have lots to work with and still be one of the better teams next year.

Do you think that the team will trade off some of their future prospects like, Downe, O'Brien or Cadet. I saw Downe play in Fredericton and he is good, and if and when he gets to play with better players I really think this kid is going to break out and also be an offensive weapon. He played about 35 minutes of the game I watched. They are burning him out limiting his ability to get into the offense. It would be a shame to give him up without a look.
From what I've seen Moncton needs another pure goal scorer however I feel that Moncton will have a hard go of it in the next few months as their schedule gets a little more difficult. You will see them drop out of the top ten in Canada. I wouldn't sell their prospects for a run this year but maybe look to getting a couple of 17 or 18 yr old propects that can put the puck in the net for next years run or the year after.
