Having to face a like like Sill's over a 7 game series would not be much fun for the opposition's top line. As tough as you say Lewy was and with Bernier in nets, they still gave up nearly one more goal per game against(0.8 to be exact). Im guessing there has probably been other teams over the years that had better defensive stats and better offensive stats than the eventual champs of that year or previous years. When playoffs rolled around, Lewy's airtight team defence were misreable to play against, much of that because of Marshall and Denny's physical influence. After Perron they still had world junior member Cliche up front also plus a strong supporting cast. Plus, even if you matched them player for player, everything clicked that year, so you'd also need that to happen. I dont think you have enough high end offensive talent, I also think Gormley will wear down by playoffs and not be as effective. Moncton to me are sort of like Cape Breton last year in the sense that nobody can deny their success and everyone is aware of them and their potential to make a big run, but I don't ~really~ think they will end up as champs. And also remember that Lewiston only lost 1 playoff game that year and Bernier stood on his head in game 4 when the Moose had over 50 shots on net and won in overtime. Denny played huge minutes all through the playoffs
