Doesn't seem to be much to debate. Seems like we're on the same page. As fans we have no choice but to hope and pray Adam comes as advertised and we somehow find 3 or 4 other Q calibre top 9 forwards elsewhere. And maybe it's just me but why not throw Ellis in there and do this in January? This move just creates so many more questions and they all end up with the team looking incompetant. I would never make this move unless I knew for 100% certainty that both Ward and Jan were back Yep that's another part of the puzzle. We're doing all this on the assumption they'll both be back.

Yeah but he can't possibly know for sure until October when pro camps end. That's a reason I expected this draft to be used to make us a bit younger....Holden for a pick....maybe a Brodeur for a younger forward and pick type of move......but this is a 180 on what we should be doing. We trade down and get back 2 big trade assets in October then we're looking like Moncton or SJ this time next year with lots of options and assets.

According to RDS.ca For Adam: Chouinard MacDonald 1st rounder Nothing better as an Eagle fan then getting fucked in the ass by Pascal Vincent for the 2nd straight year. You mean like the Gouchie for MacDougall trade?

No, that didn't turn out too bad, but you'd think after the big deal was made out of him leaving last year that they wouldn't be helping him rebuild his team.

A top 6 of Adam, Doyle, Stinz, Horyl, McNeil and MacDougall is very good.......
However your top 3 players are all goal scorers primarily, and they need somebody who can rush the puck, and make plays. I don't see anybody on the Eagles capable of that.
Ideally, MacDougall drops to the 3rd line, and you get a playmaking forward that can dish the puck. I don't think from your draft position in the Euro draft, that can be accomplished with that pick.

I'm sure we'll find a way to get our guy in the Euro draft. And if Stinziani is here that means one of Ward and Piscacek are not which means we also need a top pairing defenceman...and we're running out of assets

Barberio , Finn and like your saying maybe Ellis talk about trading away a potentially great home-grown (drafted) defence

You have a bad pick, and a bad history of getting quality players.
