There's no mention of the draft yet on the Cats board, but I'll bring this up here cause I figure someone (hopefully Lala) will answer it. The Wildcats do not have a selection until the 3rd round. Apparently, they're very high on Ryan Tesink playing for Woodstock junior A. Will he still be around when they pick? Also hearing rumbles that his family doesnt want him going to the Q because of the "screw job" his brother Brad went through. Is this true? What "screw job" did his brother go through? Didn't he play 4 years? Yes. He played 4 years. His parents don't think a first round pick like their son should have been traded to a different team each season. Pretty lame on their part if you ask me. Anybody can get traded.

maybe they thought he was screwed this season when Cape Breton dropped him like a sack of potatoes? I dunno
anyways here's a question for you old scout fuckers ... what ever happened to a kid who I remember being very highly ranked/drafted the year the draft was in PEI... I thought he was a Nova Scotian boy.. anyways his name was Gorman I think.. big lanky dman.. I think he wound up in Rouyn but I don't recall him ever playing regularly in the Q

Colin Gorman? I remember a few folks hoping the Mooseheads would snag him for his perceived toughness.
Beyond "HockeyDBing" a half-dozen games with Rouyn and a cup of tea with the Wolverines in the MJAHL, I'm at a loss and will defer to those more knowledgeable.

Joined halfway through the year? i don't know why all the hype he was pretty terrible 3 years back.

Well parents should realize there are 3 main reasons a player gets traded. All based on sucking. 1. If you suck. You will be traded off the team. 2. If your team sucks. You could be traded for assests if you are really good. 3. If you are on a deep team, and no matter how good you are, you suck compared to everyone else in your position than you will be traded. Basically be a good player on a team that does not suck, and should be fine.

He played with Rouyn for the first half of his 16 year old season, although you should use the word played very loosely. He dressed 8 games I believe, and was used as a forward. He was sent to Halifax Jr A and basically played OK, but not great, but that was fine considering he was 16. He was an early cut at Rouyn camp at 17 and basically decided to play High School hockey.

Colin James Gorman. 1st cousin to Steve Dixon (Yes, same Stephen Dixon who played for the Capers, currently playing in Europe). Colin left Rouyn for many reasons, one of which was the language barrier. Could fight however not much else. Big and strong however not a great deal of skill for the Q. Currently back home here in Halifax working towards becoming a fire fighter.
