WOW aren't you guys positive I know its reality but come on be positive you never know some of the guys and their families may read these boards so don't trash them too hard, I don't understand why people aren't happy with Bety he's been injured the last 2 games and who knows how long before that...Well I for one enjoy watching this team they work hard every night and don't leave the fans disappointed we keep working and the wins will come!!! I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone here when I say blow it up your arse. That's why your being called a homer. This site is here for fans to say what they want. To be honest I'm starting to think your either a players girlfriend or would be <Moderator - removed content> if any player asked you to be. As for Bety he's just taking up space. On a side note FREDDY wrote the 20s for next year I semi agree. But I do think if a team needs a blueliner for a play off run, I think Amyot can be had and have a feeling well be gone this trade period. Then we might pick up another 20 at the draft.

Be interesting if Amyot does get moved and what you get in return. He cost you your euro pick (4th overall). I don't think you will get anything near that.

To be honest I'm starting to think your either a players girlfriend or would be on your back if any player asked you to be. Wow, personal attacks much? Totally uncalled-for, and you should probably apologize if you're ever allowed back on here. I could give a shit how Halifax does, and if they win another game, and I think her point is still valid. Does that somehow make me a homer? Players are people. Young people at that. I think criticism is fair, and everyone is certainly allowed to do it. But we should also realize we're not as insulated as we think. hfxfan09, keep up the optimism. It's a little change of pace from pretty much every other poster on this board. I just hope the wins don't start coming until after Wednesday's game against the Sea Dogs...

I'm not saying they ALL do, but it's not like this place is a secret, you'd be suprised at the people involved in the game who come here for information. It's not the posters fault if a team sucks. All they can do is talk about the product they're seeing and it doesn't take a genious to realize a 1-17 team hitting the lowest attendance figures in over a decade isn't going to have much positively going on from game to game. The getting on your back comment was way over the line though.

Well, the euro picks have limited value because there are only so many teams that a) need top fill a euro spot and b) can afford to draft a high end euro... We obviously had no need for ours considering we thought it would be Stransky and Knotek. And Amyot was 18 when we got him. He won't be worth as much now.

Russell seems to have laid the groundwork for a decent rebuild as GM ... but I have yet to see anything since he has been in charge to suggest that he is anything other than a lousy coach ... His teams underachieve regardless of skill level (loaded, mid-pack, rebuilding) ...As I said, he shows potential as GM, but I don't know how much longer you justify keeping him as head coach - this year is already a lost cause ... but if the Moose keep their current pace, should he be back as coach next year? I agree... its great that the team works hard, and that he is stocking the team with those kind of players... and its great we've been in alot of games until the end... but 1 win is still a big underachievement. This goes along with last years bottom feeding team... and the year before which was a giant mess of inconsistency.... and the year before that where we underachieved and had to basically re-organize the deck chairs, a season that was only saved by a red hot Voracek line down the stretch. To this point he hasnt shown at all he can get more from a team than expected, let alone get what IS expected. Its why I am cautiously optimistic going forward, because I worry when we have built up a strong team again, our coaching could be an achilles heel yet again. I have waited a long time for this organization to finally build through the draft. I can also be patient as long as I see progress in the kids. However, like yourself, I wonder if our underachieving record is based on rebuilding, or coaching. Stats aren't everything, but they have been going in the wrong direction. Shouldn't the team be improving? I know it is only 20 games (19, but the next game will do nothing + for stats), but that is almost a 1/3 of the season. I was hoping last week, that after a a few days off we would have taken it to Montreal, but nope, flat as can be! There seems to be alot of knowledgable people on this site, alot of idiots too! You seem to be the only one, in the upper crust, that seems to question the ability of this coaching staff. I just wonder how others feel with regards to if the coaching staff is getting the most out of these kids. IMO, this is Cam playing the bejesus out of veterans, and as they go the Moose go. IMO, the pp is as per usual, fully reliant on individual talent, and no real system. The PP stats will continue to fall without some creativity, and without getting some kids like Andrews and Gelinas some 1st line PP time.

is Andrews not getting any pp time?
I would think that you would want to develop this kids offensive game by putting him in some positions to succeed in his 16 year old season, especially given that for all intents and purposes you've been eliminated from possible post season contention

His Icetime has come in spurts. For the first 10 games or so he was playing regularly, on the PP and on the PK as well and than he got bumped down to 4th line and recently hes been playing on the 2nd line with some PP time and a regular PK shift.
He is inconsistant, like most 16's, but a kid like Desjardins last year basically forced the coaches to play him, Andrews hasnt done that.

Yes we are allowed to voice our opinion but we don't need to take crap from idiots like you when we do voice our opinion. Someone wants to remain optimistic about a struggling team you should let them be optimistic. I've been flamed on Rockettalk for being optimistic about a good team!! Let people voice their opinions and don't be an ass when people do voice their opinion. This year won't be a disaster for Halifax. You either make the playoffs or you get the first or second overall pick

It's all in the best interest of our future, with our long rebuilding schedule bumps and bruises are more than pexpected. But this clown predicts wins over whomever we play where ever we play and adds nothing to discussion but homerish non-sense.

I agree that over the years the PP here hasn't always been as efficient as it perhaps should have been, but this year I think it's actually a bright spot. With all the youth, it's bound to run inconsistent, but it's at 21% right now, and that's with it slumping the last few games. At one point we were in the top 5-6 of the league and near 25%. Right now we're ahead of teams like Drummondville, Saint John, Lewiston, and are on the heels of teams like Shawinigan, Victo, PEI. That's pretty good, all things considered, for a 1-17 team.

Hey sMelly we haven't heard from u for a long while and then u post that uninformed power play info, check the league stats for effective power plays, Halifax's P/P is and has been one of the best in the league. Try something else to belly ache about.
