WC alumni CA Lavallee was the winning goalie on the QMJHL champion Cataractes team. Was Coulombe dealing with injuries or did he just have a bad series? It seemed pretty clear that he was the starter throughout the playoffs, but seems like Lavallee got more time in the final than pretty much the rest of the playoffs. Always seemed strange to me that Moncton traded Lavallee when they did. Coulombe was pretty leaky in the finals... he started 4 of 5 games but only finished 2 |

Always seemed strange to me that Moncton traded Lavallee when they did. Lavallee won game 2 I believe, they split pretty even through the year then rode Coulombe a bit during playoffs. Coulombe was pulled the last 2 games, last game because of 2 weak goals. Coulombe played more but CAL had better reg season and playoff numbers. |

Keith Yandle retired today after a long and distinguished NHL career. Would be nice if the Cats could invite him back to Moncton at some point this season now that he has the time to be honored in some fashion ...
