Big yikes. Imagine being this much of a grump. Sutter is an ass ... there is a reason he is known as a coach with a short best-before date - short term he can crack the whip on a bunch of talented under-achievers, long-term he alienates too many. I figure he has less than a year to go in Calgary ...

What’s the over/under on Pelletier having better career NHL stats than Sutter? 2 inches shorter, 15 pounds lighter, but I think in today’s faster and very different NHL he surpasses Sutter’s 279 career points and 406 career games. Pelts already has 17 more AHL points than Sutter. Imagine a smaller player like Sutter giving such a hard time to every small player trying to make it under his watch. Pelts caused 3 turnovers in the 7 minutes that I saw, 2 of which turned into direct scoring chances. But that didn’t show up in Darryl the Dinosaur’s stat page rundown…

He was never known as a one-dimensional offensive guy, nor was he ever known as being a cocky kid. Of all of the young guys Sutter could be trying to teach a lesson to, I can't imagine Pelletier being the guy who needs it. His Flames have won 22 of 47 games this season ... maybe a spark from a couple of good young players is exactly what they need ... but Darrell would rather feed top 6 ice to Lucic ...

I'm sure Pelletier does his best to stay positive with all this going on as he's as high character as it gets, but I have to wonder at one point does he ask to move to an organization who will appreciate him a lot more. The wild thing is this the first time a Calgary draft pick has played a game in the NHL in 5 seasons. Had to look it up to believe it.

Flames have drafted 29 players in the last 5 drafts. The 6 minutes Jakob got are the only minutes any of those 29 have in the NHL.
