Heard a rumour this morning that the Rocket made a trade yesterday. Not sure who, but thats the word spreading.

Yeah that really doesn't make any sense at all.

Gelinas was an 11th round pick and has never even played a game in the Q.

I can't see how Mosher won't be the backup this season and we have Waye and Peck as options for next season so even if it is for a low draft pick I don't see why the Rocket would make the move.

The only thing I can possibly consider explaining is if Mosher has decided to quit but even that doesn't make sense as he is only 17 and has a great shot at being the starter next season if he performs.

Anyone have any more info on this rumour?

He's a 6'5" project type d-man...was in one fight with the big guy from SJ and lost(bloodied). He plays a stay at home game.

The Gelinas deal is official now. It is listed as a 9th rounder in 08. That doesn't mean they won't flip the pick later.

Going after the big player could make sense, if they feel he could bring some toughness into the lineup, but that tender trade still has me wondering.......

Geez....at this rate, we may end up with 30 defensemen. I don't get that trade. Is this Little guy supposed to be tough or is supposed to make our D better?
