I suspect he's a potential enforcer project more than anything else..

Geez....at this rate, we may end up with 30 defensemen. I don't get that trade. Is this Little guy supposed to be tough or is supposed to make our D better? I imagine it the addness of size and toughness....... As pointed put in another thread, Main will probably be moved to FW and a D we currently have will be cut/traded.

Little is big but from I read on the Moncton board not tough at all. Still in need of a tough guy.

I suspect he's a potential enforcer project more than anything else.. I hope you don't rely on that too much. He fought once in pre-season and got KILLED. His opponent broke his visor and he got so bloodied up he had to switch jerseys. Chris Doyle would probably be just as good of a bet for an enforcer.

I suppose we should wait until we see if he can play or fight before casting judgement
and anyone who gets their visor broke into their face is going to wind up pretty bloody

I can judge all I want, I've seen him play numerous times. He's only 18 so he can fine tune his game and maybe be a 5-6 d-man for you guys but don't expect this guy to be Zdeno Chara.

Back on topic I find it interesting that Shaw traded away Gelinas to us for a 9th and then went out and got 18 yr old Boulianne (30th overall in 2005) for a 10th.
Without seeing either play I best most people could guess who made the better goalie trade of these two and it wasn't Savard.

Not sure why Savard would make a trade for a goalie that has hardly played in the league. If it was someone with experience one could guess that Gelinas is being brought in to backup Lafleur because management didn't think Mosher could do the job. But with so little experience, perhaps Savard is looking for him to be the 3rd string goalie.
