No offense to him at as a person but as a hockey player ?? Like come on 20 yr olds are Impact players, Right? Well IMO Swit looked like a 16 yr old tonight, bad Choice shift after Shift after shift , 1 goal maybe 2 was his fault. Best thing he did all night was Go back to the bench :S...... I Really question if the Rocket didnt make the trade for him, would he still be in this League? ? I no its still preseason but I saw posts from others here wondering why we have him and even fans of his old team are shocked he is still playing..... What ya think??? Trade now and Make a REAL Run at it this year? Or stay in the Middle and Play wait till Christmas again? Or Would ya rather just keep our D the way it is?

I know I wasn't at the game, so I have no opinion of his game tonight, but isn't that a bit harsh. So the guy had a bad game .. it's only preseason, if he plays like that during the regular season/playoffs, then I could see it ..

Switty is Switty, he's alright and all and brings some half-decent offense/isn't a terrible powerplay option, but not a top 3 defenceman and therefore I don't see why a team that expects to contend (Hockey News had you guys #5 in the country in their preseason rankings, for what that's worth) would have him at 20.
He'd be alright at 19, but even as a 19 yo on our contending team in Cape Breton last year he was only a third pairing guy come playoff time and by the Val d'or series he wasn't seeing too much ice at all as we had shortened the bench down to playing mostly the Sawyers/Bourdons/etc major minutes.
If come playoff time he was kind of an afterthought on our team last year at 19, I don't see how you guys keep him all year as a 20 this year.
That said he's a good kid and I hope he has a very good season this year......... just don't know if he'll be with you guys any later than Christmas.

Yah I know it was a Really Really Bad Trade IMO, Chances are we wont get rid of him till Xmas time from a team out of the running and wanting a good draft choice Id rather have Haddad then Swit Any Day

A contending team wont want him, according to your previous statement and why would a developing or rebuilding team waste a young player or a draft pick for him? edit: who are the remaining 20yr olds on your roster?

oh lol Sorry, I dont think he would have much value if at all any, Id say we'd have to give up the picks for a good 20 yrold and drop him from the roster

I felt that way the day we traded for him.. last night was about as bad as I've ever seen an overage dman look..... brought back memories of Michel Charrette I thought the same thing when that trade was made. The point was made then that they would have been better off getting a 20 yr old forward and that is starting to be more evident as the pre-season goes on. Going to be hard to move him in a trade and if they do, there won't be much coming back in return unless he is a throw in on a big deal.

That would be one of the worst moves to make to get him and him playing like that and suppose to be a leader on the ice for the younger d men. I think they got to get rid of him hes not that good at all. Not impressed with his play and a guy his size is scared to throw the body or stick up for his teammates. Why the rocket have to make so many silly moves rather see Joey here at least he was there to sick up for teammates and to drop the mits ever once and awhile and still had some good moves. he was frist star in the previous game that Cb Played. Bad move by the rocket

Ah Inky you are forever the optimist!!!!!!
As a 20 year old from what I have seen of Swit he is not a good use of an overager spot at all.....and makes me feel uncomfortable when he is on the ice, i hope he gets better but my hopes are not high at all.
