For my innumerable (?) fans, I won't be able to make it this Friday nor Sunday - I'll be in school all weekend.
Don't despair, though, I WILL be there next Wednesday against Lewi, and it's beer all around for all my friends.
....should be a cheap night...

I think that Jean will do that to Clow and Mally....but I don't agree with it I think he will do it also.....he hasn't platooned players in and out in the 2 years he has been here, it would be a surprise to see him start doing it now.

P.E.I. Rocket launch nears The Guardian
For head coaches in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, season-opening games mean not using a pen to fill in the lineup sheet.
Often teams can’t ice a desired roster thanks to NHL-drafted players being in their teams training camps and leaves QMJHL coaches scrambling for line combinations and starting goaltending.
There, P.E.I is lucky as it preps for its season home opener versus the Halifax Mooseheads Friday at the Civic Centre. Game time is 7 p.m.
Most of the Rocket’s NHL prospects (Brett Morrison, Anaheim, Geoff Walker, Toronto and Pierre-Luc Lessard, Ottawa) are back, except for winger Martin Latal who’s in Phoenix Coyote camp.
Goaltending is set with Antoine Lafleur ensconced as the starter while Marc-Antoine Gélinas mans the bullpen. Lafleur is still in Rangers camp and if he doesn’t return, Gélinas is the man Friday.
Coaching takes a long-term view, said Rocket head coach Yanick Jean, because being short-handed is nothing new. “It’s not harder coaching because you always have injuries through the year. We’re used to it,” said Jean on Wednesday. “It doesn’t happen a whole lot that we have full lineup. I can only coach the guys that are here.”
The Rocket comes into its fifth home opener since moving from Montreal in 2003 with 19- and 20-year-olds in key positions. Walker and Morrison, both 20, and both with 30 or more goals last season, are pegged as the offensive movers while 19-year-old d-men Benoit Gervais and Lessard should anchor a young defence.
A secondary wave of players include sophomore forwards Latal and Chris Doyle, who combined for 82 points last year, and an emerging Maxim Cliche and second-year d-men Jordon Southorn and Danick Malouin.
Third-year forwards Chad Locke and Matthew Lachaine and 20-year-old defenceman Jason Swit round out a squad The Hockey News tagged as the fifth best CHL club in the country in its pre-season rankings released last week.
For Jean, those players are known factors, but it’s the eight rookies he will be watching when the puck drops.
“(The team’s shaping up) very, very good. Of course, we don’t know how it’s going to (gel), but I think we’re on the right path,” he said. “There are still a couple of players you don’t know how they’re going to react in game situations when it’s going to count. It’s just a matter of evaluating those guys quickly.”
But Cam Russell, sophomore head coach of the Halifax Mooseheads and a 10-year NHL man, isn’t quite as calm.
“Right now it’s difficult to assess our team because we still have so many players away at NHL camps. We’re missing five of our top players,” said Russell on Wednesday from Halifax. “(Anaheim pick Bryce) Swan is practising for the first time so we’ve got a bit of a skeleton crew.”
Gone are Andrew Bodnarchuk (Boston), Ryan Hillier (New York Rangers), Jakub Voracek (Columbus), Montrose’s Colby Pridham (a Tampa Bay Lightning invitee) and Charlottetown’s Logan MacMillan (Anaheim), although MacMillan is out with a concussion after a head-to-glass hit in a Mooseheads pre-season game versus the Rocket last month.
MacMillan remains in Anaheim and Russell doesn’t know when the 19-year-old centre will return.
With most of those players MIA for the season opener, it’s a different look Mooseheads squad, trim with just four rookies, prepping for the Rocket.
“Most of the guys know the systems already so there’s a little bit of review and mostly skill work right now just to try to get everybody’s hands and timing back,” said Russell.
Still, the Mooseheads should benefit throughout the season from seven 19-year-old returning players, but it could mean a crowded bench although Russell admits it’s an pleasant quandary.
“Depth is always a great thing to have, we’ve got all those returning players, but it can also be a bit of a problem managing ice time and keep everybody happy. That’s going to be part of the battle” he said.
Another fight is at goaltender where 19-year-olds Mark Yetman and Roger Kennedy will get another full season nipping at each others heels for the starting job.
“We haven’t decided that just yet. The job is open for either one of them to take. We’re going to give them ample opportunity to earn that spot,” said Russell.

Hillier is in fact back for Hali. MacMillan is 18.
Should be interesting... I really don't know what to expect.

Well based on recent "rumour" I guess I will change the goalies to LaFleur and Gelinas. Anyone else care to venture a guess at the starting lineup?
